Well here's hoping your right and he keeps doing it
You can't argue the fact he was poor when he was dropped
But hopefully the rest and the new midfield set up and formation change will continue to bring the best out of him

He has been playing far to deep to long that's what was the problem but now he is playing further up the pitch where he belongs.

He needed to be dropped and rested but has come back fighting which is a great attitude to take

He needed to be rested and his role adjusted and it worked! Problem is it takes slade longer to realise than everyone else! With whitts playing like he is he can bring out the best in this team!

Agree, as it said on TV earlier whitts can be the difference in this division.

Quite frankly, he's one of my favourite footballers. He can frustrate me, but that's generally when he's being played too deep or pulling out of a tackle, but nothing will make me fall out of love with him as a player.

I agree even Whitts would admit to being poor this season and deserved to be dropped however it is great to see the Old Whitts back, and may long may it continue

I still think he suffered when we signed Craig Bellamy. The season before was the famous 20 Championship goals season but when Bellers signed he wanted the left-wing birth. Whitts was moved to central midfield and it never really worked.
He's back on his old stomping ground and the pinpoint passes are back along with the free-kicks and goals.
The old saying "if it isn't broke don't fix it" really applies.

most of his goals that season had nothing to do with where on the pitch he was playing

It was never about losing faith, he was in poor form and dropped. I think anyone with half a brain knows if you use Whitts correctly he will be one of the best players in the league.

He's been shyte for years.
Im happy he's had a good game, but Im not getting all excited for 1 game! LEts hope he sees this as a catapult to get to where he used to be, otherwise Im afraid he will be a passenger like he has been for a couple of seasons
