Since we got relegated yeah but it was buzzing when we got promoted the rebrand didn't make much difference then it was until we we got relegated.

So if we kept succeeding, you would have been perfectly happy with the rebrand then.

Didn't help but for me it was the move from NP to the new stadium

It's soulless and has been since we moved over

If you look on this forum in the years leading up to the rebrand there was plenty of threads complaining the buzz had gone.

They all referenced different causes but I think it's pretty simple.

This forum is mostly made up of middle aged people who have been following the game for decades, it's only natural that things will get a bit less exciting when you've already done Huddersfield away a dozen times in the past.

Its not a case of it being soulless, at the end of the day it's a building, it doesn't have a soul. The atmosphere on the other hand, yes it's crap at the moment be aye we have about 18,000 empty seats. But you only have to go back to the play off semi v Leicester, the cup semi against Palace, the 2-1 win over jacks and some of the Wales games to see it can generate as good an atmosphere as anywhere else.

As for the question, yes there is no doubt the buzz has been affected by the rebranding, but the terrible football of last season was also a major factor.

I think you would get a better idea by asking what in the above list, ie. moving stadiums, rebrand sitting down etc, has caused the Buzz to drop

Maybe but losing the terraces has contributed to lack of atmosphere in stadiums all around the country

Wasn't the same for me when we moved and still isn't now I get the bit about it being even worse again since the extension though

It's all about success and the stats show it.

If we were still in red I think the fans would be a couple of hundered less Max. We all know now it's about success and Tan would have got away with it if he got a proper manager other than Malky.
The buzz went when it was clear we were going down.
Was the buzz gone when we went up in red? No.

Lots of fans know they sold out big time when they sat back and let it all happen. That's a hard thing to shake off mentally

I waited over 40 years to watch Cardiff City playing in the top flight. Still have'nt seen them though, I stopped going when they were no longer the team I had followed and supported since I was 8 years old. I know we had to go for obvious reasons, but Cardiff playing in blue at Ninian Park was something special to me. I know the ground was a shithole, but I preferred going there on a Saturday afternoon rather than our new stadium. .

Totally agree. I thought we were a loyal, passionate fan base who really cared about our club.

The rebrand showed not many of us care for our club at all. The rebrand showed our loyal supporters I grew up with watching City back during the Eddie May era were taken over by glory hunting plastics who used our local club as a convenience to watch Premiership football.

Those plastics have now gone back to their armchairs watching Sky TV which is why we now have crowds of 13,000, but that still doesn't take away the fact that whenever I set foot in our stadium, I know that 95% of the fans around me took the red scarf at scarfgate.

Those 95% were happy to extinguish the tradition, heritage and identity of our club. From that point onwards, it has never felt the same for me, as I know the local pride I thought our club once had is no longer there.

How can I still feel really passionate in an environment where I've lost respect for 95% of our fans? The detachment I feel from those 95% will never go away.

Before the rebrand, I thought of our fan base as one big family passionately uniting together, all pulling in the same direction. I will never feel that way for a home game ever again.

If it wasn't for our loyal fans at away games continuously wearing blue and protesting for our identity to save our club, I would have honestly walked away and never come back.
