By leaving the full statement out

Reports that Danish striker Kenneth Zohore is on the verge of completing a loan move to Cardiff City are 'wide of the mark' according to Manager Russell Slade.

The 21 year old has been widely linked with a move to the City Stadium with suggestions that he is due to undergo a medical ahead of completing a deal ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

Cardiff are able to bring in loanees under certain conditions despite currently working under a transfer embargo imposed by the Football League for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

But Slade distance himself from suggestions that Zohore will be an immediate replacement for strikers Joe Mason, Tony Watt and Kenwyn Jones who have left the club in the past few weeks.

THIS IS WHAT HE ACTUALLY SAID

We've got a few sensitive things happening right now. That's a little wide of the mark at this moment in time.

He's one that's been on our list but it remains to be seen whether we can add him to the group
.

So he did describe it as "wide of the mark" then? No media twist on this one at all.

They just took part of the statement and made it sound that we were not interested at all, when you read the full statement then you can see that we are and it is ongoing. I can be pedantic too
