TONIGHTS FILM - THE MARTIAN

Fri Jan 29, 2016 12:13 pm

Not seen this yet but worth a watch it seems from reviews plus I like all the films with Matt Damon in. So this is my Friday night sorted :bluescarf:

LINK TO WATCH AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS THREAD

IMDB Rating: 8.4/10
Genre: Adventure | Drama | Sci-Fi
Director: Ridley Scott
Stars: Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig

Synopsis: During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring "the Martian" home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney's safe return. Based on a best-selling novel.

Loved The Martian , excellent movie

I read that in the Directors Cut of this film, Matt Damon wrestles with an alien creature and eventually throws it off the edge of a ravine. When he returns home, NASA ask him if it was a Martian he killed, to which Damon replies "No. I was just dropping a Clanger".

Where's my coat?
