Good luck to him.

Dreading it when he scores a hat-trick against us next season
Thu Jan 28, 2016 7:54 pm
Good luck to him.
Not often I've said this recently, but the club have done well here. To get £3m for a player like Joe Mason is great business. He's an average player, and not one we'll miss that much.
Will never forget his goal against Liverpool at Wembley though

3 mill is great business wouldn't have had a better offer.

Mixed feelings about this one.
If it £3.5m then that's good business for a player who often seems to have no impact.
However, I still have the feeling there is more to come from him and I don't like the thought of him playing for a rival like Wolves.

I feel exactly the same Tim.
I've been told Plymouth could receive up to £700,000.
The fee was £3mill.
But cost Wolves more than that with signing on fee etc

Good luck ta 4 Wembley

£700k would represent just over 25% of the profit.
Plymouth papers were suggesting 10%, but it looked like guesswork.
Even £700k, leaves City with a hefty fee.
Still seems a bit of an odd move given we aren't able to bring in any quality.
Clearing the decks and creating a fund for a new manager in May ?

Tell me though what has Mason done in the last two seasons?
He's not shown enough at this level, and will end up being a League One player I think.

Bit disappointed he's gone, but there's no way the club could turn down an offer like that. Good luck Joe.

It doesn't

I believe that the statement that I made has now void? hahaha
Please say that is the case? - Neither Mason or Doyle are City players now

Still in shocked, but not as shocked as Wolves fans will be when they see him
Fri Jan 29, 2016 5:05 pm
Good luck to the lad. I wonder if he'll start banging them in for fun like a few of our other strikers who seem to do so when they leave us.
I'll always be grateful for
that goal and the mild heart attack it gave me at the time.

I wish Joe Mason all the very best and he will forever be remembered at Cardiff City FC for 'that' goal versus Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final
Overall, the right decision and a great piece of business for The Bluebirds. A chance for Joe to go get a fresh start and establish himself in a potentially decent Wolves side under Kenny Jackett
All the very best, Joe
