Tan/Hammam

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the repayments of the Langstone loan stop around the time that rumours were flying about Hammam putting together a consortium to buy the club from Tan?

Re: Tan/Hammam

That's a good point actually. I'd forgotten about that. I remember thinking at the time that I didn't believe it was actually happening, but it was a rumour purposely put out to try and put pressure on tan to reverse the rebrand. But if as one or two people have suggested, tan stopped paying back Langston (Hammam) because something pissed him off, then that would certainly be a possible contender.

Wasn't it a famous "Nukes exclusive"?

Can see why it would f**k Tan off..."I'm paying this knob (Hammam) back millions, due to him screwing up the club. And now he wants to buy it back on the cheap". Or words to that effect ;)

Yeah, I reckon id be a bit pissed too!

Can you remember how much debt the club was in at the point at which Hammam left the club?

That's from a year before tan took over 66 million

As at 31 May 2009 , CCFC Holdings owed a total of just a little under £66m to all of its creditors , about half of which was payable by 31 May this year and the other half payable after that (about £26m of which was only payable in 5 years time or more - principally the Langston debt).

Oops my mistake Wez, I never read this topic I thought u were saying Sam left it,

When Sam left it was about £26mill, but we had a squad worth about £30mill which we have proved and debated before, plus outline planning for new stadium.

Riddlers debt was about £60mill.

So my mistake :ayatollah:

Wez, Tan, lent it to us and made a massive debt and is getting it back bit by bit, A FACT.

Plus fucked our club up to many many fans including myself.

Where are the fans now? thousands less than when Tan arrived, another fact.

Not entirely true Annis, under VT we saw our average attendance rise from 18,000 in 2009 to 23,000 in 2011-2014 to 27,000 in 2014, now we are down to about 14,000 which is what we were getting in 2008 under the riddler and davey jones... Thats a fact

Been over this so many times

Creditors when Sam left were - take your pick...

Figures direct from the accounts- Sam would have signed off 2016 himself I expect

£37.6m in May 2006
£36.8m in May 2007

Assets were appx £10m
