Cardiff City

Former Huddersfield captain Lee Peltier will miss out on a return to the John Smith’s Stadium after being sent off for two bookable offences last weekend, he will face a one-game suspension. Cardiff will also be without Sean Morrison who will return beyond mid February.

Idriss Saadi made a scoring return to action for the development team on Monday afternoon and it was thought that this one may come to soon for him but with Joe Mason leaving the club, Russell Slade may have little choice in at least giving him a place on the bench.

Lex Immers is likely to make his full début, playing in behind on-form and newly re-positioned striker Anthony Pilkington. Fabio could replace Scott Malone at full-back in a bid to add attacking presence but that decision is in Russell Slade’ hands.

Team News

Huddersfield Town

Sean Scannell will likely miss out with a knee injury while Jonathan Hogg returns after serving a one game suspension last time out. Dean Whitehead returned to action after over a month out in the Terriers’ last outing with a late substitute appearance and he will be fit to contend for a starting place.

Huddersfield have no further injury worries currently, they are likely to go with Nahki Wells in the front-line with Emyr Huws in midfield and former Cardiff City captain Mark Hudson is suspended.

Hudson has 10 yellows - isn't that an automatic suspension?
