Striker Not Sure...

Wed Jan 27, 2016 7:10 pm

According to a report on Wales Online, Joe Mason remains unsure whether to complete a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves have agreed a £3 million fee for Mason with Cardiff City, but the striker is still undecided over whether a switch to Molineux would be right for him.

The 24-year-old has been at Cardiff since moving from Plymouth Argyle in 2011, and he has a prominent first team role in Russell Slade’s side.

Cardiff are currently above Wolves in the Championship table, and Kenny Jackett appears to have some persuading to do if he is to convince Mason to move to the club.

Mason has been identified as a potential replacement for Benik Afobe by Wolves, as they look to enhance their forward ranks.

Initially, Cardiff were reportedly demanding £5 million for the front man, but they have quickly reached a compromise with Wolves - and it will now be up to the player decide whether the move would be right for him.

The Republic of Ireland youth international has scored six times in 24 appearances this term, with his performances catching the eye of Wolves scouts.

What sort of scouts do wolves have? It's not a confidence or any other problem he's not good enough to excel at this level. Simple as that.
