' Anthony Gerrard Finally Finds a Club '

Gerrard played for nothing for Shrewsbury Town at Cardiff in the FACUP, but they decided not to sign him.

Free-agent Anthony Gerrard has rejoined Oldham Athletic, THE Sky Bet League One club have announced.

Gerrard, who had a loan spell with the club at the end of last season, rejoins on a deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old goes straight into the squad for tonight’s game against his former side, Shrewsbury Town.

Didn't realise that he played for nothing. Whatever people think about Gerard, he came over to the Canton to applaud our fans after the cup game. He did the same when he played for Huddersfield against us up there too. He also dedicated that goal to Mike Dye, as well. There's still a photo of that in the stadium.
