Mon Jan 25, 2016 5:29 pm

And there fooking moaning about wearing one,if that's there main concern ,it can't be that bad where they come from ,there are people who have got kids and born in this country who can't afford to Feed themselves they would love a red band for free food ,unbelievable ,I'd send them back where they come from,I'm sure they would get hand outs free warm accommodation food etc,oh wait they wouldn't ,silly us,I just don't get it ,if I was in there place I'd be thinking I'm lucky not moaning about it ,it don't take much to cover the band up anyway

I've had a f*cking guts full of them, and the fuckers who pander to them are worse. Did you see those unwashed activists leading the attack on the ferry. They should of used live rounds on the vermin.

Just seen on sky news, now they aren't happy with the food. Tell them to f**k off and swap them with the British homeless who would eat anything on offer.

Asylum seekers are parasites and need deporting or terminating. Scum!

Normal everyday folk are sick of the lefties now and can see through them gladly

One of them said people were driving past and yelled abuse at them because they had these red wristbands on. Must have a cracking pair of eyes on them to spot that. Plus people wear all sorts of shit charity bullshit wristbands nowadays.

I had no idea a red wristband meant asylum seeker, they've just drawn attention to themselves even more. Pathetic.

Re: Red wrist band for free food

They should be made to keep wearing them so if a woman sees a man with a red wristband approaching her, she'll know to get the f**k away from him as there is a high she could be sexually assaulted.

It's like wearing a band on a all inclusive holiday and telling the staff that you don't want to look like a greedy b*stard so could you have a card instead

Re: Red wrist band for free food

If someone offered me free food to wear a red wristband I would gladly accept and thank them!

Some of the comments are dreadful . The wristband idea was appalling . Perhaps the Star of David tattooed on them would have been a better idea ?

Some comments on this thread are pathetically over the top. However the red wristbands were not there to signal they were asylum seekers, these wristbands were not used in any way like the star of David was used by the nazis. They had these wristbands to let the authorities know they were entitled to a free meal. No one in the city knew a red wristband meant they were foreign, it's just moaning for the sake of it.

It's the idea of being stigmatised . A piece of paper or something else but a wristband was not a good idea at all .

The problem is in this country is anyone under the age of 70 bar nobody has to face the idea of war or conflict . What would you do if your country was facing a civil war or an invading army .

The social conscience of some on here is non existent.

I agree, there was an asylum seeker who spent a month there on the news, he said that people were beeping their horns and calling him all sorts because he was wearing the band!!

How on earth would the people of Cardiff know what these bands were used for?! Very over the top reaction by the guy in question as I doubt anybody would have known about these bands prior to it being brought into the public eye via the media.

But going back to the first point of your post, the reaction of some on this thread is very ott.

To me those wristbands look like something most young people wear as a fashion item, they could always slide them up their arm so as it was not visible. Don't think it was meant as a way of making them stand out in the street.

Re: Red wrist band for free food

Mon Jan 25, 2016 8:52 pm

How would you feel if kids getting free school dinners had to wear them ?

I bet the response would be quite the opposite .

Re: Red wrist band for free food

Only in this country. They get taken in, accommodation and fed. Then they !can about it. Then the useless career politicos jump on it for PC correct self-publication. If its so bad here, why don't they go to Germany where they would be more than welcomed by Merckel. More the merrier and probably no 'dehumanising' wristbands to wear.

We've got our own people using foodbanks - maybe we should be giving them the free food and looking after our own as a priority.

To compare having to wear a wristband to get free food to the persecution of the Jews by the National Socialist Party is absolutely ludicrous even by the standards of the left

Re: Red wrist band for free food

It isn't ludicrous at all .

Wearing that is your choice . Wearing a wrist band to receive a meal without need to starve is not .

Re: Red wrist band for free food

As I said it was meant to identify them as being entitled to free food not as a means of demonizing them, maybe it wasn't thought out too cleverly but the response in the media has been over the top. I don't think the company involved would have done something that would stop the Home Office employing them as they must be on a nice little earner!

You ever been to a secondary school before? Those kids would be bullied all day every because kids know what they are for. It's completely different and a crap argument from you.

I am sorry but I doubt anyone in Cardiff not associated with an asylum seeker would know that a red wristband mean they were an asylum seeker. I am not having a go at them for being asylum seekers I am having a go at them for being pathetic.
