Jeremy Corbyn has told Sky News up to 3,000 people waiting in makeshift camps in Calais should be processed if they want to come to Britain.

The Labour leader said that the Labour Party has been too defensive about its immigration record and failed to make the case for the benefits of migration.

Speaking during a visit to a refugee camp in Dunkirk, Mr Corbyn said Britain should follow Germany's example in "doing its part" to help deal with the migrant crisis engulfing Europe.

I'm all for let in more of those still stuck in Syria or Turkey who are classed as vulnerable. Those in France trying to get here don't deserve any help whatsoever. If they are penniless then how did they fund the journey to France using people smugglers?

He's personally destroying the Labour party.

Why don't they just stay in France? It's nice there so why are they so keen on getting to the UK if there already in a safe country? They'd also be more than welcome just over the border in Germany so why not go there instead?

Labour damaged this country with its 'let them all in' multi-cultural policy which was like a badly run 6th form experiment. Corbyn would continue this and much worse. The Germans have recently this out and unfortunately its going to get much worse for them.

Not too sure about that Wez.

There are plenty of houses out there empty that these guys will quite happily squat in. Regarding benefits well these guys would quite happy work for a lower than minimum wage causing mayhem and disconcern at the bottom end of the working adder. There will be an increase in mafia style operations with these chaps as the fall guys.

Personally I don't think no benefits/free housing will stop them coming.
