The linesman Bob Bank side in the first half missed 5 offsides.
The linesman Grandstand side in the first half missed Pilkington getting blatantly shirt pulled and thrown to the ground, which is why Pilkington squared up to him. How the linesman missed it and no free kick was given beggars belief.
The referee missed Pilkington having his shirt pulled the whole game. Then Pilkington gets flattened in the back late on just outside their box and waves play on.
Pilkington also had in my opinion a cast iron penalty and he gets booked for diving. I was directly behind it and I heard a definite noise where it appeared their player kicked Pilkington. It seemed a clear penalty to me.
Also, why was Connolly told to stay off the pitch for their corner leading to their second goal? Connolly got back up and I didn't see him receive any treatment?
Overall, I thought the officials were absolutely shocking.

Par for the course I'm afraid.
They were absolutely shit the year we were in the Premier League and since we've been back in the Championship the standard has deteriorated much further.
They truly are f*cking incompetent.

Agreed, the number of decisions that go against ourselves and the rest of the 'lesser' clubs to favour the 'bigger' clubs for the 'good of the Premiership' is embarrassing.
I think we would have won today if we had better officials in charge.

Officials were dire today. We got the shitty end of it too.
However I'm pretty certain the trainer was on for Connolly. No one to blame but the stupid rule not letting him come straight back on there.
Long way from me, but I'm not certain it was a corner anyway !

That's fair enough if the trainer did come over for Connolly. They both went down but all I noticed was Connolly eventually getting up to hobble back on while their player continued to get treated.
It was a very fifty fifty challenge and I couldn't tell whether it was a corner or goal kick either. It probably could have gone either way but just like the majority of decisions given today, it went against us.

The officials rarely get a mention when we win.

Trust me, if we nicked a late goal to win, I would have done the exact same post.

Thought he was fair. I sit behind the goal so can't make out the offsides, but it was a corner and he needed to go off as is the rules.
The ref let a lot go, which if we have Gunnar, Jones and Dikgacoi playing we wouldn't have noticed.

Perhaps below average today. We've had worse. Missed the big decisions as far as I was concerned. Got the pen wrong, and was inconsistent in his interpretation of the LOAF. Books Pilks for diving, them ignores the fact Becchio did the same just a moment or so later trying to win a pen against Connolly. Sends of Pelts and let's their guy get away with a shocker on Fabio. We had enough chances to bury the game today without having to worry about the ref though.

The ones at Birmingham and the home game against Hull were by far the worst.

Officials are poor, that's life. Let's not play the poor us card, every club club can make the same excuses.
Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:25 pm
David Coote ( the official against Birmingham) has history of dreadful performances against us. He was the official when we lost our home winning goal sequence against Peterborough in our promotion winning year.

Come on now lads let's not blame the ref how about hounding the shower of shit that dare put on the city shirt and play like Sunday league team. Let's cut the crap about refs the team we have is shit, I hate saying it but no stand out player at Cardiff all average. Realism is a wonderful thing.

Average team, average results get used to it.

Should be thankful he blew the whistle to send Prltier off. The ball had broken to the striker who was one on one with Manga.

Defo a corner and Connolly did receive treatment

Cheers Fusilier.
Long way away, so hard to tell, so thanks for clearing it up.

Saw the goal again and Connolly was getting treated when the corner was taken, so no complaints there. Connolly must have tried getting up, then went back down to receive treatment.

As a second yellow card was about to be shown and it wasn't an opportunity to score , the referee was absolutely correct to stop play immediately .
Law 5

Rubbish. He could have played advantage and pulled it back and given the 2nd yellow.
It was one v one just 25 yards out.

Study Law 5.

Ive studied it and it says the ref can give the team fouled against "several" seconds to see if an advantage develops.
It also says you can give an advantage if the player is in control of the ball, he was, and running towards goal. He was.

cwmbran blue has obviously taken his level 1 refeering badge and wants us all to know it

First of all there isn't a Level 1 refereeing badge .
Secondary , the advantage law regarding 'several seconds' is irrelevant when you are dealing with a red card .
Law 5 states regarding an explosion , the referee should stop play and immediately send the player off unless there is a subsequent opportunity to score a goal .
Referees don't make the Laws of the Game only enforce them .
Mon Jan 25, 2016 7:57 pm
Expulsion not explosion .

There was a subsequent opportunity to score a goal though.

The referee also with Law 5 has to take into account the severity of the incident . The player was injured and needed immediate assessing and treatment , and probably stopped play for that reason rather than seeing when the play could have ended up too . Given the incident was 50 yards away from goal on the wide left as the attacking team were , he thought it was the correct decision which is right.

The ball was not 50 yards on the wide left though was it and neither was the incident.
Mon Jan 25, 2016 9:19 pm
The incident was . It was roughly 15 yards in cardiffs half .
