" LEE PELTIER TODAY "

Peltier made a stupid and unnecessary challange. The game was getting scrappy so I don't think it cost us . Bad result but I think we remain 5 points behind playoffs

Only way Slade would pick Fabio to start.

Like the only way Manga could get in the team was because of Morrison getting injured.

:sladeout:

Peltier has been caught out frequently this season and getting sent off was just a matter of time.

The few times I've seen Malone and Fabio play together we looked so much better going forward. Peltier is solid but that's about it.

It was a slide tackle.
If Harris hadn't jumped in the air and had instead played the ball I reckon Pilkington would have taken ball and man.

We've cheered him for these tackles dozens of times this season.
Good to see a player with a bit of bite.

Disgusting play acting by Harris got him sent off.

Then a worse tackle on Fabio goes unpunished, why ... because Fabio got up and got on with it

That frustrates me.

It was getting towards the end of the game where big tackles and gambles needed to be taken to get us on the front foot, so we could drive at them to try and put the pressure on to get a winning goal.

Peltier mistimed a tackle and the referee had no option. It happens when you're a committed player who saves us countless times.

Why aren't any of you talking about Peltier's huge challenge which started the move for our first goal?

Or the fact Peltier won the ball, cleared it and their defender heads it straight through our asleep midfield meaning Peltier then had to run across to try and put yet another challenge in which got him his first booking?

Peltier had a good game. His team mates let him down for his first booking and he had to make one challenge too many to give him his second booking. That's football, but give me a team of committed Peltier's any day.

He certainly gives his all but is a player who is regularly has a tough time dealing with his opposite number. He is ok defending but is useless the moment he crosses the halfway line and frequently passes straight to the opposition ( a bit like Mcnaughton, though Superkev was a far superior defender). He also frequently gives away needless corners and when put under pressure gets in quite a flap.

And his unchallenged header today from three yards out was the miss of the season by some distance.

I'm sorry but I can't take you seriously if you honestly think Peltier regularly has a tough time dealing with his opposite number and you think McNaughton is a far superior defender than him.

Couldn't see the challenge from where I was but the reaction from the bob bank to Harris suggested he made more of it. I don't blame peltier at all he is a good old fashioned defender whose there to make tackles. Some times they are mistimed and your liable to bookings but most of the time he is bang on. Agree with David's he's not a superkev but not many are

And if you seriously think that Lee Peltier is a better defender than Kevin McNaughton then I'll have a very small glass of whatever you've been drinking!

that makes it worse then. The only consolation i can see is that losing a full back to a suspension gives a chance to one of the other defenders too stake a claim in a defence that cannot keep a clean sheet at the moment.

Annis he's a liability, he gave away a penalty last week for grabbing in the box , he's been doing that all season.. The Referees are on to him now...

I was ten yards from play
Peltier never touched the guy, who screamed Before he stuck his foot out, absolutely disgraceful, and that's why we all screamed at the player cheat Harris in his stupid pink boots!!

Re: " LEE PELTIER TODAY "

I told my mate straight away that peltier did not touch the cheating sod the guy did two steps then pretended he has been fouled  .

Re: " LEE PELTIER TODAY "

Seen it again and you're all spot on, Peltier didn't touch him. It's a shame in both games, Rotherham felt the need to cheat to get our player sent off.

Rotherham have taken 4 points off us this season because of their cheating players and the incompetent officials falling for it. I had a bit of a soft spot for Rotherham after the way they were treated last season to give Millwall an advantage to stay up over them. But after their cheating this season, I hope Rotherham get relegated.
