Stewards scuffling with 2 City fans in Ninian Stand , punches were thrown and ended with Police taking City fan out
Apparently Stewards did not like what fan shouted at a player?

Jon, he had been persistently abusive for some time and was warned (partly because he was sat behind a group of female supporters, I think) because some of the things he was shouting were well out of order!
When he continued, a decision was taken to remove him and a very minor scuffle broke out until a police officer calmly took him away, to his credit. The entourage of 'Response' people made it look worse than it really was
Another of the Stewards also warned another small group further over regarding their chanting towards Rotherham fans shortly after and there were a few verbals directed at him but he appeared to have pretty thick skin to be fair. You need it for that thankless job! LOL
All in all, neither incident were too much to worry about but it must have looked worse than it was with the size of the group that surrounded him!

That's the thing with the stewards Sven, they all pile in on mass and it looks stuipid. I saw the incident from afar and it looked like Cardiff fans were rioting with the amount of orange jackets there. If the guys being a knob then let the police sort it out rather than countless busy bodies surrounding him no doubt inflaming the situation.

I was right behind the incident Annis. First of the actual steward got into our fan's face screaming and belittling him. That's why the fan stood up and told backed himself up. This steward no 37 or B7 got way too personal and actually made the decision worse, and got pulled away. He walked away laughing at all of us, but now I.have his number, he is a tw*t bully, and his card is marked by all of us that witnessed his disgraceful behaviour. All he had to do was warn the fan alongside a supervisor, not stick his finger in the fan's face showing off. It spoilt the whole atmosphere.

Wholly agree
TigerBayRoller (above) is correct in his statement that
ONE Steward in particular (didn't get his number) made it worse but it doesn't take away from the fact that the guy was pre-warned that if he continued he would be ejected and he chose to ignore the warnings

The thing is these Gestapo Stewards are all of a sudden very brave with the CCTV backing them up. And they know the police are seconds away. They are Police wannabes that ain't got the intelegence to be coppers that says it all really.
That guy should of pushed that steward harder than did.
Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:12 pm
Not all stewards are idiotic, but no 57 was a right show-off, but he picked on the wrong fella. I'm pissed off as it did not need to happen. What goes around comes around, and if a steward sticks his finger in my chest I will bite his hand off!! City til I die!!
Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:52 pm
I know them and the steward was in a mans face saying "do you wanna try me" because the man said "come on ref you **** get on with the game"
Sun Jan 24, 2016 12:03 am
Yea ccfc stewards are hard in a gang. NOT!! If the steward was saying try me then that's provocative and he should be named and shamed and also sacked from his 10 pound a week job. And then on his way out the door should be put on his arse for his troubles. Any 1 know the big man with the fat jacket? Names please.

I was a few rows back and to the right and saw it all, two guys were going nuts and hurling abuse and the stewards were trying to clam things down. It looked like they had used "inappropriate" language when screaming at the Rotherham player and despite the stewards trying to calm it all down they were going off on onw. Stewards fault? seriously? Some people need to wise up.
Sun Jan 24, 2016 12:31 am
A few different stories on this issue then it's like Chinese whisper. Ha ha. Some saying it's fans fault, some saying jumped up steward having a bad day. I will always side with my fellow supporters. I know who's side I'm on.

I know who your on about regarding stewards, he's the son of one of the head stewards, he's already been warned before as he has been known to make matters much worse, plus instead of fans being just warned, they always end up fighting with him because he has a terrible attitude.

Chris I saw it from about 8 rows further back, I did not hear anything of course and if females are about there is no need to get verbal.
But what is the problem with football banter with other fans, as long as theres no trouble? ?
We need an atmosphere.

My mate is a 117 steward. Repeated use of the C word. Asked him to calm down and he threw a punch. No defence
This is the same bellend who has in the past he hopes a players wife gets raped

From Facebook
Sean Mcconkey Cardiff stewards r a joke, they wonder why no one wants to go down there!!! Can't even stand or shout without having grief off them
Dave Sherwood Ccfc we are a joke
Richie Wilkes It ain't CCFC it's Tan FC , ain't been down for ages , total respect to those who still go
Dave Sherwood I go I'm a sad c**t for still going
Saverio Risoli .....and they wonder why the stadium is empty .....mr ,Steve Tucker of Tha Western Snail take note
Ian Williams That's one reason I can't be bothered anymore. The whole football day out has died.
Pasti Jones Again??
Connor Mawn Steward approached him and went right up into his face and said "wanna try me", stewards down the city are a joke
Connor Mawn And my brother was removed by student because "he was given abuse to the ref/players" what kind of world do we live in that people are told to leave a football stadium because they're giving the referee/players stick? God forbid we sing the referees a wanker
Lee Facey you pay your money your entitled to barrak this load of shite
Shaun Daniell The thing that pissed me off was the fact nobody flew in to help him 10 years ago he would have not been ejected. Come to think of it it was only the ob in numbers who ejected people not these f*cking plums in orange jackets who didn't quite make it as a doorman
Chris Jones Our club and team are dying and we cant do a f*cking thing to stop it
Ian Williams Not a hassl

I thought the pop and crisps brigade were over the family stand if you don't like the language in the Ninian stand don't sit there find somewhere else to eat your prawn sandwiches. You expect a bit of language down the city. It's called passion something the club lacks because of the so called goody two shoes. Put all toffee noses in the nice red stand see what atmosphere they create. Lmao. None whatsoever.

They are being paid to be there.
Therefore are meant to be professional.
Defuse the situation not encourage more violence.
If they cannot take a insult on the chin by someone who is under the influence of alcohol then they shouldn't be doing the Job.
Professions up and down the country deal with situations as these but don't resort to piling in on the culprit.
If I reacted like that I would get sacked and lose my license and probably get jail time.
No Excuses.

Exactly what Annis is saying guys. This steward "Cooner Mawn"?? no 57 did not have to re-act they way he did. All her needed do was go in with a supervisor (after the fan stopped screaming at the ref, which is not a bloody crime). BUT this steward antagonised the situation and actually when the cops took the guy out, this steward was walking around chest puffed up, laughing.
LET'S START A PETITION TO GET STEWARD CONNER MAWN, NO 57 SACKED!!
This will be for the good of the club.
