Marshall

Making some odd decisions today. That mistake for the goal just the latest in a string of errors today. Very odd.

I don't know who Marshall thought he was today but Slade needs to have a very strong word with him. He made a string of ridiculous decisions today!

Very disappointing performance from him - will want to forget this one :bluebird:

Agree.

He was all over the place today.

Kicking was shocking, spilled another straight forward shot (luckily nobody following up this week!), half arsed attempt to get the ball for their first goal and absolutely rooted to his goal line for every cross and corner as usual.

Also has a worrying tendency when he makes a save to push the ball outwards rather than around the post.

Still by far the best keeper I have ever seen in a City shirt but anyone watching him over the last three or four games with a view to making an offer for him will probably have decided to keep their wallet in their pocket.

Maybe he jsut wants to stay and is trying to put would be buyers off!

Ross, I agree

I am a big Marshall fan, but he came way too far out on a couple of occasions today and I haven't seen him do that since he did it on a regular basis under DJ ;)

He really shouldn't be captain.

First half he ran all the way to the corner to try keeping the ball in play, kept it in play and if it didn't luckily go to another City player, they would have had an open goal!

Then he charges out of his goal like a lunatic gifting them their equaliser. If Marshall stayed in his goal, he would have had to save a shot from a tight angle and would have most probably saved it. It was still a great finish from their player in fairness mind.

Second half the ball just rolls into the area, instead of Marshall simply diving on the ball, he dribbles it out of the area around their player, which he got away with but it was one of several unnecessary risks he took today.

I was down the other half of the pitch in the Grandstand for their second goal, but it looked like Marshall could have commanded his box a lot better as well. Surely he could have come out for the corner and at worse, punched it clear?

I'm convinced Marshall's been getting worse since Margetson was brought back as Goalkeeping coach.

Old errors in his game are returning that got ironed out under Malky and Ole.

The world and its mother know Marshall should never be captain, make's you wonder why Slade doesn't

That would be the positive if Marshall was sold an outfield player is captain because Ole couldn't and Slade can't see that he shouldn't be captain..

There must have been a clause when he signed his new contract stating he must be the captain. I see no other explanation how he can be a captain when we have so many better outfield options.

I don't think so.
