Craig Noone exit worry

22/01/16

Scott Young admits the possible departure of Craig Noone is a worry for the Bluebirds.

It’s a great worry for us. Craig Noone is performing and we want that. Clubs will be looking at good players and he is a good player, but we need to keep him. That is for certain. He had a bit of a stop/start season last year. He’s been in and out of the team this year, but now he’s producing some good form for us.

Not in this window but he will go in the summer along with Marshall.

You sure that Young didn't mean himself leaving City, now that would be more acceptable to us fans

Cardiff City admit they are worried about approaches from rival clubs for in-form Craig Noone but insist they are determined to hold onto their best players.

The winger was in scintillating form against Wolves last weekend, scoring two brilliant goals and setting up the Bluebirds’ third.

Noone has been linked with a number of clubs in the past and came close to joining Norwich for £2m last January.

Assistant Bluebirds boss Scott Young admitted the club are worried about clubs showing an interest in the winger with more than a week of the transfer window still left.

Or are they 'touting' him with such statements when (so far as we know) no one has put in an offer for him?

To be honest, I've got to the stage where I think anyone and anything could be sold at the moment and the only deciding factor is "what's in it for us?"

We can always dream after one good result but the fundamentals are still there (Slade, Trollope, Young and a stuttering squad who could and should be doing better) and after the FFP ruling, the remainder of this season will be one of 'seeing out' the season

What happens after that (in the summer) will be interesting, if not necessarily pleasant! ;)

To me that sounds like Scott Young issuing a come and get him plea to anyone that is listening.

If I had Young as a coach I think I'd want to leave the club as well

Chris, I believe they are touting him

I think the treatment he gave certain players when him and Gabbs were in charge says it all really. Admittedly he gave his all as a player but that doesn't mean he can make it as a coach which obviously Port Talbot didn't think so either.

Unfortunately because of our financial position, I think every player we have has his price, so if the right offer comes along City will sell,so there is a chance that there could be some shock departures

Just heard from a mate who is a Sheff Wed season ticket holder that they are considering a bid for Noone - might be something in it, might not be, but they have the money for sure.

I also have a mate who is a weds fan - they have money to spend and he's also heard the same rumour.

Personally we would be mad to sell Noone to another Championship club especially one we are in direct competition with for the Playoffs. If he goes anywhere it should be the PL for a couple of million quid.

I also heard last week that Steve Evans manager of Leeds - is so fat that they dont have a tracksuit large enough for him so his wife gets a similar XXXXXL tracksuit and then sows on the badges herself.

Last week against Sheff Weds - he dissapears from the touch line for 20 minutes because he had to have a shite - class act.... :)

Nooney will not be sold!!

Slade rates Noon highly but get slightly frustrated as he blows hot and cold but is prepared to give him a run of games to keep up his consistency and confidence

Personally I believe if cardiff are holding out for £5 million for Mason then we can't accept £1-2 million for Noone

Touting him? Mmmm thought clubs already after him (Norwich) for one? :old:

Sorry to be cynical but is this club trying to tout our players to other clubs e.g he's playing well blah blah we are worried he may leave blah blah. Interpretation of this is "For Sale" come and get me!

Mind you it wouldn't be the first time would it. :bluebird:
