Leeds could make move for Tony Watt
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United boss Steve Evans is weighing up a move for Tony Watt as he looks to get revenge on Cardiff City following his failure to lure him to Elland Road back in November.
Leeds were outbid by Cardiff for Watt back in November despite initially having a deal in place for the Scot.
The report also adds that the Yorkshire side could capitalise on Cardiff’s transfer embargo - and therefore the uncertainty over Watt’s future - by making a bid.
' Leeds United Want him, Will Cardiff City Lose out? '
Leeds United have enquired about Charlton's Tony Watt.
Watt had a medical last Friday at Cardiff City, which he passed, as his loan was due to expire and was expected to be signed by the Welsh Club for a £1million fee. Cardiff City were still haggling over the price with Charlton and in the mean time Cardiff were hit earlier than expected with a Transfer Embargo.
So Tony Watt returned yesterday to the London club, but due to their financial problems as well they want to sell him.
Cardiff City have since asked the Addicks if they can extend the loan, Charlton have turned Cardiff down as they would rather sell Watt.

If they don't have a transfer embargo then yeah.

Have they got the money to buy him?

God no, anyone but them, our own fault though, we should have sealed the deal before his loan period ended

Question. Could one of Tan's other clubs buy him and then loan him to Cardiff?

I assume the other clubs are also under FFP rules making that a non-starter.

Don't think his other clubs come under the English football league rules
I put this possibility up a few days ago, got the usual clowns rubbishing it , with no facts to prove its out of the question ,,where's the anaraks when you need them.
Some one must know the validity of this suggestion

I do wonder whether we have dodged a bullet here. The lad started like a house on fire and the first few games we were all having a loving with him, his last five matches have been nowhere, and he was the same with Charlton at the start of the season, start with 3 goals and then nothing. I asked the question when he arrived, Why are a team at the bottom of the league so keen to get this lad off their books when they certainly need a striker to put the ball in the net !
I think we may have got lucky by accident
