Bruno Ecuele Manga wants Premier League move IF Cardiff fail to win promotion.

Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga is a target for Lyon, Lorient and St Etienne but he insists his priority is to play in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old, who arrived from Lorient in 2014, has made 38 Championship appearances for the south Wales club so far.

Now, according to sources in France, three Ligue 1 clubs – including his former employers – all want to take him back across the channel.

However, the Gabon international says he has no intention of leaving England and instead wants to try his hand in the Premier League.

He hopes that will be with Cardiff - currently five points outside the Championship play-offs – but concedes he might consider offers should they fail to get promoted.

He told Le10sport: "[Interest from other clubs] touches me enormously. I spent four beautiful seasons in France. It's good.

"But the priority is clear: To impose myself and play in the Premier League. With Cardiff if possible.

"This is what I want most. After that, I do not close the door to other European championships either. If there are attractive opportunities elsewhere, I would study them too of course.

"But my hope is really to play in the Premier League, primarily with Cardiff or elsewhere if unfortunately we do not go up."

By England they mean English football... E.G Premiership

Well, to be fair to him, he stuck with us this season when none of us expected him too. He'd get a move to the Premiership quite easily I suspect, so can't fault his commitment to us.

He's shown more loyalty than Medel, Caulker, etc, anyway.

He deserves the chance to play at a higher level, that's for sure. I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest already from the Premier League as even some of the top sides seem to lack a decent centre half.

Better defender than Caulker too - cant believe Liverpool signed him!
If he leaves for the Prem at the end of the season then you cant blame him for wanting it.
In fairness to Medel he DID have an amazing world cup so he is a little more needing of top level football than some of the players that left us were.

He nearly cost us a goal when showboating in early part at Wolves.

He did the same at Hull.

He has some qualities but like Connelly & Morrison, they court disaster; I just wish these defenders would stop trying to be cute when near their own goal. Row Z if in doubt.

cant understand your logic here if lescott can make the first team so can manga and there's a lot more cb's that's worse than him he's quality.

He has played some stinkers in this league and has been beaten quite easily by the top strikers. In the premiership I believe he would fall below standard.
