How City Can Still Sign 3 Players,City's CEO Says they Still

Mon Jan 18, 2016 9:38 pm

Ken Choo has said the Bluebirds are still working towards three signings.

If they have less than 24 established players in their squad (they have 22) then can sign a player where the "employee costs are less than £600,000 per annum, equating to a wage of just under £10,000 per week."

If there is no loan or transfer fee paid

They can sign players on a 'one in, one out' basis as long as the incoming player is on less than 75% of the wages of the departing player and the wage is under that £600,000 per annum figure

Due to the restrictions, the players we're able to bring in won't be of great quality.

Have to ask if it's worth it? Will these players improve our current team? I'm not sure.

Well the one out was Kenwynne, 75% of £30K is still more than this league

I don't understand why we need players anyway.

You seen the squad? Its more than capable of being competitive in this division.

Come on Slade pull your finger out, grow some balls and run YOUR football team. If Tan is having a say in team affairs tell the media!! you have nothing to lose if Tan is going to feck you off anyway :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

He's put a statement out to help clarify matters by the looks of things. I've read up a little of what he's said and it's a fact.

I would have thought that Macheda would be on a pretty substantial wage ?

He was signed by OGS at a time when we were paying big money. On that basis surely getting rid of him is key to what we can do in this window ?

The paragraph:

They can sign players on a 'one in, one out' basis as long as the incoming player is on less than 75% of the wages of the departing player and the wage is under that £600,000 per annum figure

Whenever we loaned out players in previous years we always seemed to have to pay part of their wages, if we pay £10K plus the home club paying a proportion that would surely mean we can get a decent quality player ?

The restrictions are the wages we can pay them. I guess it's possible we could get a more quality player with part of his wages paid for by his club but then it's more likely we'll get a lower league striker.

How long does this embargo last?

What if promotion happens? Does it mean no upgrading to cope with the rigours of the PL??

Thanks. Positive news there. Having to work with existing squad may actually benefit progress. Focus is on the fight, not waiting for the cavalry.
