' Cardiff City now in No rush to sell striker '
Rotherham's pursuit of Wembley hero Alex Revell stalls
Millers Time
Monday 18th Jan 2016
Rotherham are no further on in their pursuit of former striker Alex Revell.
Boss Neil Redfearn revealed last week that the Millers had made tentative enquiries about a New York Stadium return for the 32-year-old Wembley hero, but they were waiting on answers from Cardiff.
However, with the Bluebirds now under a Football League transfer embargo, meaning they cannot recruit permanent signings in January, it remains to be seen whether that will affect their potential outgoings.
Revell, who earned himself a place in Rotherham folklore with his ambitious-but-brilliant antics at Wembley in 2014, left the Millers for a big-money move last January but has failed to establish himself in south Wales.
Reports suggested that he and fellow frontman Federico Macheda were ready to be off-loaded before news broke of their embargo last week.
Rotherham are one of a number Championship clubs who have enquired about Revell.
They are, however, primed to bolster their attacking options with an imminent move for Luciano Becchio.

I'd rather keep Macheda than Revell.
Macheda showed a few good touches in the FA Cup game.

Slade should be sacked for signing him. Shocking. I do appreciate he is a work,-horse, not a blackpool donkey
