The following players contract are up in the summer:
Ben Turner,
Gabriel Tamas,
Fabio,
Jazi Barnum Bobb,
Tommy o'sullivan,
Craig Noone,
Rhys Healey
What players would you keep and what players would you let go? I was surprised about craig noones contract and I thought he still had a couple of years left on it. I am surprised that both his and Fabio contract negations have gone under the radar as I am worried that both players could leave on a free in the summer if we don't get this sorted out soon.

A couple of the youngsters might stay, but I'd expect Turner to go due to his injuries.
Sad day for a player who's been superb for us.
I don't expect Fabio to stay either as I'd guess we'd struggle to match his wages with the parachute payments being cut.
He's not playing regularly anyway, which can't be good for him.
Shame as I love to see him play. Heart on his sleeve.

I really don't know why but I just have a sneaky feeling that Noone will allow his contract to run down.
I wouldn't mind if Tamas, Healey & Barnum Bobb weren't to stay on but Turner, Fabio, Noone & O'Sullivan need to be tied down asap in my opinion

If that's the case then transfermarket really does need to update its information as it says his contract runs out this summer.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/craig-no ... eler/81202 regardless we need to make sure that Fabio signs a contract extension and putting pressure on the club to offer him one. I don't want to see the same thing that happened to Kenwyne and lose another one of our better players again.

Noone extended his contract to 2018 at the end of 2014.

I'm amazed we haven't signed Noone and Fabio onto new deals, probably Turner aswell.

I don't see why we cant offer Fabio a new 3 year deal with the same wages that he is currently earning. Surely selling Malone would be a better option for cutting costs even though I think he is a good player, I'm sure we would get a decent fee for Malone as he is one of the better full backs in the championship. As for Fabio he is a crowd draw and you could only really say that Marshall and Noone are the only other players on our team who holds that similar status. Its important we keep players like Fabio, Marshall and Noone as we are already struggling to draw crowds in as it is and that has to be costing the club more than renewing Fabio's contract.

I don't get this Fabio love in...ok he's a 100% effort agreed....but at the end of the day he's not a very good player and if I'm honest he's a pretty poor defender

And that's why we will struggle to compete with any of the top 6 teams when it comes to squad quality wise in the upcoming seasons if we continue to carry on the way we are. Its like we get rid of Kenwyne due to wage problems and now we haven't got one player left in our squad who carries an out and out goal threat. Meanwhile you have Middlesbrough,Derby, Hull and Burnley splashing the cash. Cardiff made a profit in the last 12 months why do we need to cost cut when we cant even bring in players to replace the outgoing players due to a transfer embargo. The business side of Cardiff city is getting sort out its the football team on the pitch that will continue to suffer if we keep getting rid of our better players without suitable replacements.

IMO Fabio could have gone during the two windows, but hasn't, why is that ?

You can't pay what you haven't got and we have to cut our cloth.

Shame as Fabio has been a great servant to the club despite only being here 2 seasons. Malone is a good Left Back although given the choice I would rather Fabio, so I can live with Malone and John fighting for the left back position next season. However, I really do think this cost cutting strategy is staring to hurt us more now as there is a lack of goals from anyone in the team, at the end of the day its not like Craig Noone is going to score 2 worldies every week. I just hope this FFP stuff don't stop us getting 2 good striker and a good cm in the summer otherwise we will struggle to fight for the playoffs next season, unless we get promoted this season of course
