CRAIG NOONE
Sunday 17th Jan 2017
It seems at times that the inconsistencies and fragility that lurks within the Cardiff side as a whole this season is encapsulated in one man and that is wideman Noone. The talents are obvious, the danger that lurks within seen on many occasions.
The Bluebirds’ sole season in the top-flight confirmed that about the Merseysider. But too often Noone has blown hot and cold since then. He casts a frustrating figure to watch quite often, seemingly playing within himself, unable to express his full range of talents. At Wolves, good old ‘Nooninio’ was back. He tormented Wolves and topped it off with two wonderful strikes to give Cardiff the lead as well as chipping in with the assist for Joe Ralls’ vital third.
It’s too early to say if Noone can keep up the kind of form he showed on the weekend, there have been false dawns before, but Cardiff fans will be hoping the winger can keep making an impact this term.

Ryan if Noone hits form we will get more goals and Noone will be worth a few £million.

No doubting Noone has got the ability but my criticism of him is he pulls out of challenges and sometimes doesn't even put his foot in, I know it's not the main part of his game but I expect all players to put it in where it hurts and I can't say Noone does that.

Annis he is one of the best wingers in the championship when he is on form.

Funny really, theres been a lot of talk on here recently about Noone not able to get past people on the outside and complaining about it.I thought Wolves played to his strengths a bit by allowing him so much room coming inside. Two brilliant goals but if they had done their homework they might have frozen him out as other teams have done.

For me he is way too predictable, to be fair most of his goals do come from him coming in on his left from the right side.. I would rather him on the left than the right.

He is talented and deserves more support. One of our best players in the Premiership. I really hope we can keep hold of him. Even when he hasn't been on good form, he always gives 100%.

The reason he isn't worth millions, and never will be, is that he only has a handful of really good games a season.

I just think he needs more end product like yesterday and maybe needs to cross the ball a lot better

He's probably been one of our best players this season. But last season, he was shocking.
He needs to show a consistent level of form if he is to be worth millions.

He is far closer to a 433 forward than a 442 winger. If we take the expectation of a decent cross away he is very effective.
As for putting his foot in

He doesn't win enough headers either

If noone was consistent with his form,he would be playing in the premier league,he ripped Manchester City apart when we played them away, this season just showed one or two flashes, but to be fair the pitches this season haven't been the best for him

The problem is he has only showed that ability on a handful of occasions since being at the club. His strength is that he comes inside and has a great shot, his weakness is that he cannot beat a man on the outside and his crossing is poor and he is reluctant to track back nd when he does, he cannot tackle! To get the best from him, he needs someone bombing past him on the right, do that and he becomes almost unplayable

He is the only guy who gives us something different.....

At times he does seem to be a one trick pony and I agree Wolves blundered by not picking up on Noone's 'trick'
His right foot is awful so I would like to see him operate on the left for part of the game at least.

Agreed with you both, didn't he play left mid under Malky in the Championship? Remember he tore them a new asshole in his first game for us.. he cut inside a few times and went to the byline.

No doubting he has been very inconsistent but he gave one of the best performances by a Cardiff player in living memory away to Man City when we were in the Premier League. He absolutely roasted Kolorov that day!
