Post-match reaction to Cardiff's 3-1 victory over Wolves.

Under-fire Cardiff manager Russell Slade vowed to take the pressure in his stride after his side stunned in-form Wolves with a 3-1 win.

Slade had been facing calls for his head from angry fans before the trip to Molineux, while chairman Mehmet Dalman had revealed that former Orient boss was "under scrutiny".

However, City impressed at Molineux and Craig Noone gave Cardiff a 28th minute lead, before doubling their advantage eight minutes later.

Michal Zyro reduced the arrears five minutes before the interval, but Joe Ralls sealed Cardiff's success three minutes into the second half.

Slade, who also has a newly-imposed transfer embargo to contend with, said: "When you walk into this job you are always under pressure.

"But I think when a club gets into this situation you need to look at the whole club and not just what is going on the pitch.

"If I had only done 150 games or 200 games, then it might have been a double blow.

"But there are challenges in this game week in, week out and you have to deal with them.

"Not all of them are on the pitch. Sometimes they are off the pitch as well."

Despite the embargo Slade is still looking to bring in players on loan, although striker Tony Watt has had to return to Charlton at the end his loan spell.

Slade, who hopes that Watt could return, added: "We can bring players in in on loan and we shall look to do that.

"We will deal with that and react to that and we have made a great start in reacting to the situation we have been placed in.

"We wanted a top a performance today and I thought we got a top, top performance and the three vital points that we needed."

Noone gave Cardiff the lead in spectacular fashion when he let fly from 30 yards, before doubling their advantage by curling home into the top corner.

Wolves were handed a lifeline when goalkeeper David Marshall was unable to hold a low drive from Rajiv van La Parra and Zyro stabbed home.

But Wolves were unable to build on Zyro's third goal in two games as Ralls struck from 20 yards after being set-up by Noone.

Wolves had been chasing a fifth successive Championship win and manager Kenny Jackett admitted their defending had let them down.

"We have defended a lot better than that and I am disappointed with the goals," he said.

"We weren't compact enough as a side and I do appreciate that we were going all out to win.

"But you need to stay in games and what we have done of late is stayed in games and reduced the goals against.

"While there was a good attitude and spirit about us to be competitive, you need to keep the goals against column down.

"We needed to stay in that game - that is the period of the season that it is.

"We didn't do that or recognise some very good strengths that Cardiff have.

"What has got us a good run is staying in games and what you need to do to do that.

"It is poor recognition of what wins football matches and where you need to go to do it consistently.

"It is very difficult to consistently score enough goals to win games if you are conceding three".
