He's had a lot of stick recently but the pass that Whitts made in the second half that put mason through was absolutely magnificent!
Unfortunately Mason had neither the first touch or pace to take advantage of Whitt's vision and sublime delivery but what a pass!

Whitts is quality, just not his Slade wants to use him in a 442

To be fair it was a world class pass outside of the boot on half volley. But as u said mason perhaps was the wrong person we needed it to fall to

I've slated Whittingham quite a lot recently, but that was an incredible defence splitting pass. I was pleased Slade kept Ralls in the middle and put Whittingham on the left. Whittingham no longer has the legs to play in centre midfield of a 4-4-2, but he did a solid enough job on the left yesterday.
