How he do today? Was he left midfield?

I aint a whitts fan but sounded like he done well today on the radio? He got quality just not the energy needed to play in russel slades centre midfield, interesting to see how he does from here in.

No surprise we won considering he started.

He played well, as did all the outfield players! :)

Played a couple of top quality passes to open up their defence!

The championship is so overly analysed any clever changed in expected formation can throw the opposition.

I don't think any of us were expecting a 451 with Whitts, although we have a decent bit of history with that formation :ayatollah:

Always enjoy it when we win. Happier that Ralls scored than Whitts played to be honest.

Sounded like we tried to play football.Difficult to judge from the radio, but O'Keefe for Gunnar allowed Ralls further up field.

Very good point. I didnt go yesterday. 4-5-1 more effective away in my opinion.

Whitts did OK.
Couple of decent passes, played at a better tempo than he did v Shrews, frustrating again with challenges and tracking though.

Whitts was on the left of midfield he played well but bottled a few tackles imo, his passing was much better yesterday. We played 4-4-1-1 with pilks up top holding the ball up well. Mason played in the hole behind him.

He was meant to play on the left but gets dragged into the centre and we never hav no threat down the left . That's why noone scored twice because everything was going down the right. Did nothing good to mention Imo

Do you think this is a tactic we use though? A lot of times I have noticed the left winger moving in field allowing Fabio/Malone to over lap.

I wasn't there to see however and have only realised now that Pilkington played as a number 9 and Mason 10
