Loan Signings and FFP?

Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:46 pm

How does it work?
Sure i read somewhere that the wages we can offer is very low for any new signings so that would mean only poor options available id say? Also i cant see us signing anyone decent on loan because we wont be able to afford the loan fee for anyone decent? Or can you get good players on loan for no fee or a low loan fee?

My right in thinking this or am i wrong how does it work?

We can't bring in players with a fee but loan signings is okay as far as I know.

that's if you sign a freebie I'm 99% sure that you can pay the loan players contract but not above

Some of these premiership youngsters are not on that type of wages so could get a few decent fringe youngsters

Whether a player is signed on a free transfer or on loan, his wage cost must not exceed an annual equivalent of £600k and that includes the National Insurance cost and any agent costs. This applies to any player brought in to take the squad up to the allowable top limit of 24 (excluding under 21s and players who haven't started 5 games for the club) .

Once up to the 24 limit, a new player can only be brought in ( again for no fee) if he is a direct replacement for a player going out and again with a maximum wage cost of £600k p.a.. The further restriction on such a player would be that his wages are no more than 75% of the wages of the outgoing player, so that the club's overall wage bill is seen to reduce.
