My opinion on him won't change simply based on one performance. :sladeout:

Wez, I am def not a Slade fan, but there is No point sacking him this season as Tan would only let Trollope and Young run the show. Tan won't put a better manager, so we are virtually stuck with him till May.

So like him or loath him, Lets All get behind our team and Support them through till May :thumbright: :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We have not had a bad season to be fair , seen as Slade has not been backed with money.

Who knows after todays brilliant display/shock win ,you never know where we could end up?

Decent bloke but :sladeout: not good enough I'm afraid!

To be fair, he got everything spot on today. The 4-4-1-1 worked a treat and he even went 4-5-1 for the last 15 minutes and snuffed out Wolves.

Still out. I'd be disappointed if he got given a contract extension and I doubt I'd renew my season ticket if he was here beyond the season. I want change

One result and he is a genius.

Trollope until the end of the season.

Whilst that's true Annis, I would have more faith in Trollope being in charge until the end of the season than I would Slade. That's how low my opinion of Slade is.

I say get him out, put in Trollope as interim/caretaker manager. Then we can see who's out there in May.

Slade likes it a certain way, as soon as possible he will be back to his tried and tested ways. He is the most predictable manager ever.

Luke, Slade is far, far from genius, I just know and hear that for this season, Tan will not put a better manager in than Slade as Slade is doing all thats required from Tan.

So lets just get on and Support our Bluebirds :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

And yes today was great :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Agree with that. He'll go straight back to 4-4-2 and his 'style' of play before you know it. As you say, he likes things done his way - however poor that way may be.

I think too many people are getting carried away by one win.

Ned, Many say Tan has his input, Trollope does the tactics.

I was told Slade had lost the dressing room, but to be fair today, was our best win of the season, not just the result, but the attitude and togetherness.

Was it Slades last stand?

I just want May to come ASAP and don't feel anything would get better under Tan with Slade gone now.

From FB

Andrew Mapley Let's all get behind the manager and team and see where it gets us

Thomas Fish In. No one will touch us with this embargo and personally I don't think we are doing bad considering what money he's had (none)

Simon Barry Slade out for me

Sorry Annis, but I have to disagree.

I think Trollope is a good coach and the players react more to him than they do to Slade. You can see that every match on the touchline.

I think it would be a better transition for Trollope to be in charge until the end of the season. I just believe that would put us in a better position than if Slade carries on until the end of the season with no real chance of him beyond with us next season.

I'm not saying Trollope should be the next permanent manager, but he'd be a good fit in the short-term. You can't doubt his credentials. He's been a coach in the Premier League with Norwich.

People always mention that Russell Slade has never steered a club to promotion, but Paul Trollope did with Bristol Rovers in his only managerial job. He was arguably unlucky to be sacked from them as well.

Wait till end of this season. We are doing nothing this season and we should have enough points to stay up. This season is already finished :bluebird:

As always.
It's not difficult to predict Slade.

Might as well let him see out his contract as we probably won't get relegated or promoted this season, and then replace him for next season. Pleased we won today, but he's still not good enough if we are serious about progressing.

If we can get someone better in then make the change but I think he's doing OK under difficult circumstances the playoffs are unlikely but not impossible

Well if we get play offs then he deserves another season in my opinion.

Really? Madness.
Even if he takes us up he needs to be replaced as a priority. Malky showed us a decent championship manager (at the time) doesn't make a good lremt manager.

If he did get us promoted I'm sorry to say I still don't think I would want him as our manager. I wouldn't be surprised if he's given a new contract though on reduced wages, he would probably be the cheapest manager in all the leagues

He's already on a cheap enough wage.

It would probably be voluntary then
