Charlton Athletic striker Tony Watt NOT joining Cardiff City

Charlton striker Tony Watt’s permanent move to Cardiff City is off.
The Addicks frontman has impressed for the Welsh side and was due to complete a full-time switch on Thursday.
But instead City have been placed under a transfer embargo.
It now means Watt will be back at Charlton at the start of next week.
The deal agreed with Cardiff was around the £2million mark - and it remains to be seen if the move not happening has a knock-on effect to what the Addicks planned to do in the window.
The Addicks have already signed Rhys Williams and Diego Poyet on loan from Middlesbrough and West Ham respectively, plus handed Roger Johnson an 18-month deal.

Daily Mail
Cardiff City's dwindling play-off hopes have suffered a huge blow after the club was hit with a transfer embargo for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
The club are considering an appeal against the Football League sanction, arguing that their accounts for the 2014-15 season fall in line with requirements.
The transfer ban, which applies only to this January window, has already scuppered what appeared a done deal to sign striker Tony Watt permanently from Charlton, though they could now attempt to extend his loan.

Choo said in the services a few weeks back he wouldnt be coming. Maybe the news yesterday brings it all too light. This isnt something which would have just happened over night. They would have known about this for a while!
