I posted the below this morning, as mentioned i knew it was close but hoped we would stay on the right side of the rules.
One thing to remember the Financial Fair Play rules were brought in for a reason and that was to stop Chairmen/Owners like Chelsea and Man City from propping up clubs financially and just continue to pump money in.
So even if Tan wanted to continue to support us and pump the money in its not that simple Financial Fair Play rules don't allow it you have to generate the income.

Spot on, how the club have avoided breaking the fair play rules I don't know, well done to all. I am told on a monthly basis we are within a whisker of breaking the budget, hence the cut backs and of loading anything and everything.
We still have 10-12 players on Premiership wages, we have a squad of players bigger than most Premiership clubs and until we offload the Kenwyne's as we did of this world things are going to get worse before they get better.
People say sack Slade (with what we have to watch I don't blame them) it's dire but I have seen 10 times worse, if we do sack him then who would come in on his wages, I doubt Bellamy would, long gone are the days we can afford to pay the Malky and Ole's of this world, again financial Fair Play rules dictate we really are that close to our limit.
People talk about signing new players there is no room to manoeuvre, I am not sure what the rules are (perhaps somebody can clarify) bottom line is apart from a small loss your out goings must not be bigger than your income, unfortunately until we off load out Premiership superstars, reduce the size of the squad we will continue to be skating on thin ice.
Yes there are ways off getting money into the club like Man City did and getting there owners to pay naming rights on the stadium, perhaps Tan would like to name it after his own company for 10 Million a year but somehow I doubt it.
Not sure what the future holds but I am pretty sure things are going to get a lot worse before they get better, I Would Love to see a new owner but we have been up for sale for the last God knows how long 50-60 years and not one local business man Welsh man die hard millionaire Bloooobirds fan has ever shown any interest.
For me all I prey and wish for is we don't go back to Daily news of somebody like the tax man shutting us town if we don't pay our bills, they were really dark and depressing days not knowing after 40 odd years of following the club if we would still have a team to support.

A very good post and I am the first to post on the thread while most throw their toys out of the pram, it's not what we want but the fair play rules were brought in for a reason. Fans can accept honesty as most people in life, but why were we being told of 1m for watt and the lad from Bolton. All lies unless they offloaded first. Disappointed but nobody has died, just a football club
