He's proved he can manage a team in the top half of the Championship. Before he came here, he could only prove he could manage a team in the top half of League 1. Only a small improvement but an improvement nevertheless.

I'm not a big fan of Slade, but in the absence of a clear alternative being available I think he should stay until the end of the season.
