Nigel Pearson is the early favourite with @SkyBet to be the next Bristol City manager >

That would be a travesty and a total waste of his talent. Are we going to miss out on this opportunity?
I assume, as with Pulis, Pearson would be seen as too independent in his views and in wanting more control.

He will want big wages. We are no longer in that position. Crowds plummeted, have to lived within our means as did Derby, Ipswich for a few seasons.

Just like Clough and Gray. He'll turn them down

Ok - Bellamy it is then.

Would love him at Cardiff.

He would be a great manager for Bristol City, he knows all about this league and knows how to get an ambitious club promoted. They would be mad not to go for him if they can, he would really get them firing, and next season they would be a team to watch for a PL push. Pity our clubs no longer big or ambitious enough to attract names like this

He handled a difficult situation very badly at Leicester which cost him his job. Not sure our club will want to take on a manager with that sort of baggage, especially after the way that Malky left. Too toxic, I'm afraid.

Experience of this division,in my opinion would be ideal for us to move the club forward.

Great manager and character to match, would get our boys ship shape in no time, no noncing messing around, he would flip the bird to Tan if Tan got out of his pram.
Unfortunately it won't happen, Tan has his heart set on recruiting the Malysian Lady Boys !!

We've missed a great opportunity. I think Brizzle will really progress under him.

I would have thought he would have got a decent job, he did well at Leicester. Thought he would have been out of our reach nevermind bloody Bristol City

i think after the way the fans became frustrated with the way dave jones dealt with the fans, nigel pearson would not go down well at city unless results were excellent.
he is an arrogant individual who although had an excellent run of form with leicester for half a season, is by no means guaranteed to replicate that here as most people seem to think. all of this is academic as tan would not employ a manager who would cause problems on the field and off it.

Pearson was sacked by Leicester following a number of misdemeanours, including putting his hands around the throat of an opposing player, telling a Leicester fan to "f**k off and die", and getting in a public row with Gary Lineker (a legend at Leicester, of course). Also, he thought the club was wrong to sack his son who posted on Twitter racist and sexist comments about two Thai prostitutes who were performing in his hotel room, who he also filmed and put the films on the Internet.
The man is even more morally corrupt than Malky Mackay and if you think our Far Eastern owner is going to employ such a dinosaur then you are severely misguided. I don't want him in charge thank you very much, and no right minded person would think otherwise.

He will hold out for a bigger club.

Yep, I agree fully with the above!
