TAN'S Revenge...

Thu Jan 14, 2016 11:20 pm

When will it ever end ?

Just how vindictive can this man be ?

Being financially shafted by numerous past employees at the club..... was NOT the fans fault !
Being told by the Malaysian tourist board to return our colours back to Blue or risk losing the substantial financial backing.....was NOT the fans fault !

Yet he's doing everything in his power to keep us in LIMBO for what seems to be like forever !
He brings in a manager whose teams have never even won an argument despite being in charge for over 750 games !
Our academy/youth policy is in tatters, with the best talent from our area seemingly all going to the jacks !

So what exactly does this man want from us ?

I don't think he is being vindictive, the rules were set out from the start, he was willing to pump the money in and in return he wanted to make his mark on the club by changing the colours etc, these were his conditions, I don't agree with it, but that's his prerogative. Once it became clear (once we started to lose) that the fans wanted back to blue he gave us what we wanted and in return seems to have lost interest and isn't pumping the money in, again his prerogative.

I'm not sure he is deliberately keeping us in limbo to be honest, I think its obvious he wants out, he is trying to recuperate as much money back that he may have lost as possible, who can blame him? He's not Welsh, from Cardiff or even a Cardiff City Fan, he was never in it for the love. What is he supposed to do? If anyone is in limbo its Tan himself, he can't sell the club to an imaginary buyer, to my knowledge nobody has ever been interested in us, there is no rich local backer interested in us for example.

What exactly does the man want from us? To be self sufficient I would think, he has got Dalman and Choo there to run things and after spending a fair whack on the previous manager has decided as part of the self sufficient strategy somebody cheap like Slade is the ideal candidate, you could argue that he has got it bang on as all things considered Slade has done a good job (in Tans eyes).

If we do eventually see the back of Tan, and I think its for the best, I'm not sure what the fans think will happen, we are not going to suddenly be able to afford the top managers on high wages, its that kind of wild spending that's got us into this mess in the first place under previous regimes.

If/When Tan goes, its only going to get worse I think, unless we get another major backer like Leicester its going to be a live in hope job that we can somehow get someone in who can do a 'Bournemouth' with us.

I reckon Tan deserves a little bit of respect for not completely f*cking us over to be honest, things could be a lot lot worse

Spot on, how the club have avoided breaking the fair play rules I don't know, well done to all. I am told on a monthly basis we are within a whisker of breaking the budget, hence the cut backs and of loading anything and everything.

We still have 10-12 players on Premiership wages, we have a squad of players bigger than most Premiership clubs and until we offload the Kenwynes as we did of this world things are going to get worse before they get better.

People say sack Slade (with what we have to watch I don't blame them) it's dire but I have seen 10 times worse, if we do sack him then who would come in on his wages, I doubt Bellamy would, long gone are the days we can afford to pay the Malky and Ole's of this world, again financial FairPlay rules dictate we really are that close to our limit.

People talk about signing new players there is no room to manoeuvre, I am not sure what the rules are (perhaps somebody can clarify) bottoman line is apart from a small loss your out goings must not be bigger than your income, unfortunately until we off load out Premiership superstars, reduce the size of the squad we will continue to be skating on thin ice.

Yes there are ways off getting money into the club like Man City did and getting there owners to pay naming rights on the stadium, perhaps Tan would like to name it after his own company for 10 Million a year but somehow I doubt it.

Not sure what the future holds but I am pretty sure things are going to get a lot worse before they get better, I Would Love to see a new owner but we have been up for sale for the last God knows how long 50-60 years and not one local business man Welsh man die hard millionaire Bloooobirds fan has ever shown any interest.

For me all I prey and wish for is we don't go back to Daily news of somebedoy like the taxman shutting us town if we don't pay our bills, they were really dark and depressing days not knowing after 40 odd years of following the club if we would still have a team to support.

Got to agree, there's no one out there interested ,in fact a lot of our fans are not interested any more. Once we all realise we are not bigger than Barcelona, in fact I think we are about the same size as Barnsley Blackpool or maybe Blackburn .
With maybe 5-10k of genuine fans,we had our season in the sun ,now it's time to wake up and smell the coffee.
We are a mid to bottom championship club that's it. Hopefully we can stay in this division and have some good days and make the most of it.We had our chance a billionaire owner , but managers staff and fans all in their own way p####d him off. Now he wants out ,wants most of his money back and who truthfully can blame him.

I'm going to be accused of being up Tan's arse as per but I honestly can't see messages as ridiculous as this and not write anything.

If Tan wanted to f**k us he could far more easily than what he is doing. He certainly wouldn't be stumping up a mill for a new striker.

Posts like this remind me of the loony left. They talk complete shit and oppose everything so loudly and stupidly that any sensible debate is lost.

It's all well and good playing the super fan bollocks, get Tan out blah blah blah bullshit but who is going to replace him. He told us he was going to reduce the investment in the club if we didn't play in red and he's just done that. Would you rather be "blue in league two" or not? I would. Obviously you just want it all.

For once Tan seems to be doing it right at the club, making the cut backs needed. Unfortunately he has/had faith in Slade who is a terrible manager but that happens with chairman and owners all over the country.

To respect Tan is like respecting a monarchy who cost us a bloody fortune and then we're meant to grovel to them! Tan's money is all loans, with huge interest. He decided to rebrand after saying he wouldn't and appointed someone who just cannot cope. He has lost us many fans and his large red stand is a testament to his folly. I have absolutely no respect for what he has done to the club I love, but will never stop supporting whatever the results.

Where do you get your information from ?

Tan is a ruthless business man, and I would be totally astounded if he didn't take interest payments on his substantial loans with the club.
And why would he take a wage ? He doesn't need to, he owns the club ! Anything he wants gets charged to the club.
And who do you think paid for all of those "visits" from the various Malaysian dignitaries, along with the numerous visiting groups of Malaysian youth who came to the CCS ?
They would almost certainly have been charged to the club.

Why do you call the rest "bullshit" ?

You obviously have access to the club's accounts then ?
Maybe you can enlighten everyone on here when those "various times" were when Mr Tan didn't take any interest on his loans ?
You'll obviously know this from having seen the club's accounts . And which financial year was this by the way ? It'll be clearly marked on the front page of said posted accounts.
And those visits weren't bullshit, they were at the invitation of Vincent Tan. Do you honestly believe that the numerous youth groups and Malaysian dignitaries would have paid for themselves to come over to a strange country and watch a football team that they probably had never even heard of ?

Great response RV, I do agree with most of your points. The thing that really grates on my mind though, is that I feel it wouldn't have taken too much more of Mr Tan's backing to have had another pop at the premier league . A competent manager at this level, and a couple of additions to the squad I think may have done it. Such a pity really as I feel that if he'd backed us in Blue and we'd tasted success once again, the fans might possibly have forgiven him for the rebrand .

Think I might start a topic on whether Tan does or doesn't take any monies from the club that he owns ?
And we'll let the City fans on this board have THEIR say on the issue.
