' RUSSELL SLADES LAST STAND '
I was there last night at Hull City, where our players never turned up. There was more action in Russell Slade walking across the pitch at the end to clap our 100 plus Diehard City fans than the whole team put together during the match.
Our players have lost heart, desire and will to fight on the pitch, I can see it and virtually every City fan can see that incl Dalman and Ken Choo.
Russell Slade also shook every players hands as they left the field, yet you would of thought he would of been fuming with them? ? ?
I was told this morning, Slade really did think that was his last match, but once again he has been given Vincent Tans backing to turn it around at Wolves away and Rotherham home, these two games really is his last stand.
I am also led to believe strongly that Slade has lost most of the Cardiff City dressing room and much of its to do with playing half the team out of position etc and his non exciting football.
Tans advisers at the club and saying to him enough is enough.
Cardiff City do not have anyone lined up to immediately replace Slade, so Paul Trollope would take over for the time being.

I really hope you are right. I also suspect the club have to act before the new season ticket prices are announced. If they got rid of Slade it could make a big difference to how many people re new

So does that mean he may change tactics on Saturday? Will he change any of the team?
I didn't go last night ( i take my hat off to you 100 that made the trip) but i listened to the comentary on City Player, even those guys sounded bored!
It cant go on!!

In my opinion with the games coming up If Russell Slade can get to the Rotherham game he has a chance of at least lastng the season. The problem is can anyone else ?

this I agree with too - he was 'lucky' in a way last night's game was against a promotion hopeful in Hull. He wasn't expected to get anything

It's a fact that the players don't want to play for him.
He should go ASAP. Hopefully after we lose on Saturday, which is inevitable.
Get Nigel Pearson in with Bellamy as assistant.

So if Tan's advisors are telling him enough is enough why doesn't he get rid of him now not give him 2 more matches. Tan really doesn't want to lose face here does he

Against Bolton played good football but were lucky to get the win.
Against Sheff Wed played good football but let ourselves down giving away a 2-0 lead.
Against Forest played good football and did well to get back in the match but were unlucky not to nick it.
Against MK Dons played good football but our strike force let us down.
I went to those games and felt we played well. Some of the other games like against Burnley and Birmingham we played well and deserved more than what we got.
Yes football is a results business and the results have gone against us but we are capable of playing some good football. It does seem to me as soon as we have a bad game like at Hull all the above games are forgotten.
Slades football is not as dire as some make out. However his technical acumen has let him down. How he lost those 2-0 leads is worrying. I've always said Slade has been managing on a knife edge in every department. Some of the departments were none of his doing such as budget control, some were and he could have done a lot better.
Summing up his departure will be a relieved one for most. I just hope it is not a nasty one because that is not deserved.

Got to laugh at some of the names our fans are coming up with to replace Slade. Tan has made it obvious he is no longer prepared to splash the cash, and how do we know some of these people would be in the slightest bit interested in coming here anyway. Slade will have been told what is expected of him when he took the job, and we will see exactly how ambitious Tan really is depending on what action he takes over the next couple of weeks. I still think Slade is probably doing enough at the minute to keep his job, as I don't think Tan expected much this season.

I really hope most of the players go with him aswell to be honest.Im sick of hearing so called professionals whinging about things, Are they stupid enough not to realise that even though they are getting at their manager for not trying , they are letting down the fans and club.
When Slade goes i guarantee we will win the next game and the players come out saying we are happy now.
Selfish and deluded

Another two matches?
Waste of time.
If he loses both matches and then gets sacked we would not have hardly any time before the end of January to appoint a new manager and if one was appointed they would not have time to recruit anyone before the end of the window. Anyone appointed would have to make do with the squad we currently have.
Might as well let Slade finish the season sending the rest of us to sleep and driving away all but the hard core fans with his dull uninspiring football.
I honestly think that we will not see any players coming in during the window as Tan has put a stop on all spending and will just recoup more money by saving Kenwyne's wages.
As time goes on the true depth of Tan's contempt and disdain for the club and it's supporters is becoming clearer by the month.

What is the point of playing the same sort game plan again and again?
Our away form is shocking.
Bring in an new man whether it be promoting Trollop or appoint Mr x.
I doubt Tan gives a proverbial.

Totally agree! Which half decent manager would come here anyway? Fans should keep their cash in their pockets and out of Tans.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 4:30 pm
And if he does go Young and Margeston must follow also. Over the past 10games what has Dalman and Tan seen that we haven't to convince them he has another week or two???????? He should have gone last week. Still have the players (with the right Manager) to get into the playoffs without a doubt. At least next season with a fresh start we could have away days to Villa, Swansea and Newcastle !!!!! SladeOut

Well that's 2 games wasted the team is obviously not going to perform for Slade now.

If it takes a loss for Slade to be sacked then so be it. Need to go back to move forwards then hope we loose

We be going back eitherway nukes as there's cost cutting involved. In most cases that's what happens unless we do a bournemouth

So we lose again at Wolves on Saturday, what next? Rotherham home! He's got more lives than a f*cking cat!!
Each and every game we lose 3 points!! We drift further away from the play offs. We are just 6 points clear of 17th! I don't understand why he needs to continue in the role continuing to take us further down the table!
That cup game was unacceptable and last nights performance just as bad! There was no turnaround or even glimpse that things can get better!
I just don't understand...... Not looking forward to the Rotherham game, will be a piss poor crowd ! The evidence is there that he's not got all singing from the same hymn sheet! How are things going to improve or get better if he's not even respected by half the team or so!!
