please not billy davies

i think pearson would be a good shout

Pearson has been there, done it with a team in a similar position at the time.
I can't see him being a toy for Tan to play with though.

paul lambert for me.

he's an excellent manager. but i can't see slade being sacked any time soon. and i doubt the club would be willing to pay the wages and associated costs of a manager like pearson. plus unless he got immediate success the fans would soon start to tire of his arrogant and dismissive attitude towards the fans, and he wouldn't be able to work with tan long term.

I'm sure all the current suggestions would be willing to join us on a similar wage to Slade and be Tan's puppet.

Does anyone have any REALISTIC suggestions please?

You forgot Ian Dowie he is bound to put his name in the frame. :laughing6: :laughing6:

I'd put Alan Shearer in the hat, funny guy, would be an hilarious appointment to see him and Tan clash, easily one of the funniest pundits around, he cracks me up.

No, which is why I continually stick up for Slade. The majority of our fans wanting Slade out to be replaced by Nigel Pearson etc are living in a fantasy world.

In terms of being realistic I would say Dave Jones, as I'm sure he would be cheap and I remember reading that Tan was fond of him and even considered him when Malky or ole was sacked I think.

Im sure Jones would come back and I was listening to the match on radio wales and they said the most entertaining football they have seen in years came from Dave Jones. Even Chops tweeted that it would be the perfect time to bring Jones back as he played entertaining which is what the fans want.

Opinions on Dave Jones?

But if I could have anyone it would be Pearson or maybe even Bellers :ayatollah: :sladeout: :sladeout:

Gareth Ainsworth i would take a punt on or Bellamy or Tan can use his new European club contacts possibly can get a promising manager from continental Europe.

Almost as funny as you!

all depends on wage structure for the apointment. personally cant see why we cant pay better than the rumoured 120k a year
. kenwynne who we released earned over that in 3 weeks ! and now hes gone there should be a space.

we could go the experianced route like Harry Redknapp, Glen Hoddle, Ian Holloway, Nigel Pearson. even Neil Lennon cos of Boltons situation.
other managers out of work are Sherwood, Di Matteo, Di Canio, may be interested.
or do we go the gamble route with Bellamy, Shearer, stick with Trollope, Viera and Henry also high regarded coaches but doubt they would come

Id like bellamy to have a shot at it.

Tim sherwood a good shout though would probably be realtively cheap because he has a lot to prove in management at the moment.

Michael Appleton?

Look at what Slade did at Orient a couple of years ago some managers have good spells in lower leagues doesn't mean they will be good in the Championship.

Hardly anything sensible mentioned

Only people I can see coming are those out of work or very small compensation packages vinny won't be buying multi million pound contracts out that's for sure

Clarke, sherwood and Pearson probably good shouts wouldn't necessarily want any of them but both it of work

Wouldn't want Colin wanker anywhere near the club another dinosaur

Personally think we'll stick with Trollope until end of season so tan can then have a think and decide whether he opens the chequebook for a manager proven at this level or whether he goes lower leagues again or even those mentioned out of work

No way would Sherwood be cheap. He got to an FA Cup final recently.
