TONY WATT IS HAVING A MEDICAL TODAY/CONTRACT AGREED & WATT SIGNS ON MONDAY FOR CARDIFF CITY
' D DAY FOR CARDIFF CITY PLAYER '
Cardiff City loan player Tony Watts last game will be away at Wolves this Saturday unless a deal is agreed with his club Charlton and of course with himself.
Charlton still want around £1million(not all upfront over a period of time of course),plus Watts signing on fee etc
Watt started of brightly, but in his last few games including last night,in my opinion he has slowed down.
Watt though can look good on his day.
Would you still sign Tony Watt Permanently?

didnt see him play yesterday obviously, but the few games before werent that good for him. perhaps it was just a good start and nothing more?

I would sign him and 10 like him however this supposed deal has a bad smell about it. Taken to long and same with players coming in.

Paulh, Watt's worse game last night, but then it was a bad night. for the majority of City players.
He has potential though.

He's average. I don't think he solves our goal scoring problem.

Karl,Im a little worried about this deal.
With the right manager Watt can be a good player.

Hi Annis,
Your up early! Must be the viagra
I don't have your connections however a mate told me another club is involved, so make what you want of it.
I like him you don't lose the talent you have just need the right manager to bring it out

Don, Out of Slades 14 players, he's prob the best he's come up with, but I will say so far Slade has not brought many good players in.

Hi Karl,
Ive got businesses to run and will be out and about in the next few minutes
I will look in to that
Your right its all about the right manager and if you've got the right talent, it will then shine out

He's a good player and worth the mill to buy him IMO, however, I don't think he's anywhere near prolific and wouldn't be the goal scoring centre forward that we could do with.

I don't think we've seen the best of Tony Watt yet

Tony watt is a good player and would flourish under the right manager someone like bellamy who knows the game well. Unfortunately though slade will ruin another good player with his shit tactics and shit football.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 8:57 am
I would leave the decision to the new manager !!
Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:00 am
He has gone of the boil a bit.
His first few game she certainly made a difference. All players go through a bad/slow patch, just look at Chopra. I think he is worth a gamble though.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:13 am
With charlton sacking the manager it's going to be worrying, the new manager might want to keep him .
Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:54 am
I don't think that it's any coincidence that Watt has struggled since Kenwynne Jones left.
I think his strength is when he receives the ball facing the defender rather than with his back to goal. As soon as he starts running at defenders things start to happen but the last few games he's played with his back to goal and that simply isn't his game. He's certainly one of the few players that we have that will get me off my seat, everyone else is just so predictable.
Additionally, he's been paired with either Mason or Ameobi and I think even Messi would struggle with them as partners
I would certainly sign him in the hope that when, rather than if !!, we get a new manager they will have the tactical awareness to play players in the right position and also have tactics that suit the players at their disposal !!

We wont sign players - until we have offloaded players.
So if nothing happens - that means we will have a strike 'force' of Mason and Macheda. Idri Saadi is due back soon - I would prefer to see him and Watt upfront, if we manage to sign Watt that is.
Ameobi - is a winger not a forward target man. Tan may well take the view that this team wont get us relegated - and that maybe all he wants.

Deffo sign him , he started with real intent and although he's been quieter in last few games he will come good,
He's hungry for goals and if the midfield Buck their ideas up he will score plenty more, deffo worth signing IMO
Thu Jan 14, 2016 10:34 am
I wouldn't sign him started brightly but has taken his foot off the gas not the proven goal scorer that we need
Thu Jan 14, 2016 10:41 am
He started off well with Jones up front with him, he hasn't looked the same player with Mason leading the line.
Here is another thought....he didn't cut it at Celtic, didn't do it at Charlton and now look average with us, maybe he's not as good as everyone including himself thinks he is.

He's not the answer, he'll soon roll over, he's mediocre at best

allalulia and new manager we be laughing!

With the right manager Ameobi could also be successful and Kennedy and other young players be given a chance.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 11:57 am
God we turn on our own easily.....
Messi, Ronaldo Neymar would struggle in this team.

Whose to say that he wants to sign for us permanently, anymore? I wouldn't if I were in his shoes. I think he might be having second thoughts about moving here full time. If after the Wolves game, he does indeed go back to Charlton. Then I think we will have probably seen the last of him in a City shirt, because I do think that he will change his mind about joining us and either stay there to try and impress their new manager or he will join a much better Championship side. A side that has a better owner, a better manager, better coaches and a club that, together with it's supporters, are all pulling in the right and proper direction. Sorry for going a little bit off topic. But, It saddens me to see this once great club of mine, going through all this turmoil, that we are currently going through, on and off the pitch. My Dad would be doing somersaults in his grave - I mean his urn, because he was cremated - if he could see all of the crap which has gone on at the club in the past and which is still going on at the club, to this present day. In a way, I'm a little bit glad that he isn't still here to witness all of the bad things that have happened at the club, since his passing a few years ago. It would of saddened and angered him, just like it would have for the hundreds of thousands of other Cardiff City fans, that have sadly passed on.
Bloooooobirds.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:38 pm
I think we sill the best of him under a new manager but a great signing probably Slade's best thing he has done.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:57 pm
He needs to be playing with a big man
Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:51 pm
As we are not going up or down there is no hurry to sign anyone assuming that we ( in other words Tan) are prepared to fork out the fee. Might as well give the new manager any money Tan will sanction as there wont be very much of it.
Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:59 pm
I think that has been standard for him. Inconsistent wherever he has been. Has also been called unfit by more than one manager and there are indications of poor attitude.
His stats aren't great under many managers.
