' Tom Adeyemi axed due to poor form '

Thu Jan 14, 2016 8:17 am

Leeds United boss Steve Evans has confirmed midfielder Tom Adeyemi has been axed due to poor form.

14/01/16

Currently on loan from Cardiff City, Adeyemi has been in and out of the side since Evans was appointed, featuring more regularly under the head coach who brought him in prior to his sacking, Uwe Rosler.

Adeyemi has started only one game for Leeds since December 12, and was not even on the bench this week against Ipswich Town, with youngster Kalvin Phillips preferred.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Evans did not attempt to hide the reason he has not been playing behind injuries or illness, but did not rule out a return at some stage.

He said: "It's a form issue. We thought he was sloppy, looking laboured. We took him out and [decided to] rest him, it doesn't mean he doesn't have a part to play."

Could one of these three Leeds players be subject of Bundesliga bid?

Adeyemi's place in the side has very much been taken over by Liam Bridcutt, signed by Evans on loan from Sunderland until the end of the season.

Wales Online reported that it will cost Leeds £1 million to make Adeyemi's move permanent, and he needs to step it up and improve to convince the club that this is a figure worth paying.

Not surprised at all , very average player , there goes our 1 million back off Leeds then , they won't want him now that they have Bridcutt
Same with Le Fondre and Doyle we have no chance of getting our money back on these players

I guess this might put a end to all the Cardiff fans wanting him back  . I knew this would happen as he is not as good of a player as people think. I said that he wouldn't get near the leeds team when bridcutt, Murphy cook and mowett was firing for leeds.

Hang on ---- only a month ago, if that, people were raving about him on this board and in the Eggo saying what a great player he was and we should never have let him go out on loan. Or was that just another way of having a dig at the club?
