At the start of the season, there was a poll that suggested one per cent said we’d be play-offs, two per cent said we’d be in the top 10.
Well that tells me 97% are wrong.
We know what we’ve got to do. It’s time to roll our sleeves up and get it done.

Course I am. I believe in what I’m doing.
I’ve done 750 games with a win ratio of around 39% so it doesn’t mean I’m a mug.
It means I’m capable and I still feel I’m capable of getting this team in the top six.

I don’t know where all that kind of information comes from or what sources that is.
As far as I’m concerned, the dialogue with the chairman and chief executive is very good and we’re all wanting the same thing.

He's in denial.

I’ve no idea. I’ve not even contemplated that yet. You can’t look that far ahead in football. It’s just the nature of the job.

Confident of making the play-offs?

Well he's not going to say he is going to be sacked is he?
Wed Jan 13, 2016 10:43 pm
You should never run out of hope and belief. I think that’s very important.
I can see their frustration, of course I can. I’m very frustrated we’ve not got a positive result. We’re all frustrated.
That’s part of life and football. But we’ve just got to get on with it and embrace the next challenge which is Wolves on Saturday.
We are going to go there and do our best to get three points.

Feck of Slade FFS

Well at least he's showing a bit of fight.
He shouldn't make it easy for Tan/Choo/Dalman.
I think he's right to stick up for himself.
It's NOT a bad record, the problem more is that it's hard to see the team progressing from here and that most think a change is needed.
Wed Jan 13, 2016 10:45 pm
Any signings before Saturday?
You never know.

Turning on the fans is never a good idea Russ just make us resent you even more.

Could be unpleasant at CCS next Saturday...

How is any manager going to get this team progressing when Tan isn't providing any funds to strengthen the squad? A new manager can try different players and different formations, but the reality is, the striker department of our squad is nowhere near good enough to challenge for the Premiership.

We are not play off contenders. We are lucky we didnt do a Wigan/Bolton, when we got relegated from the PL.

"We know what we've got to do," Slade said. "It's time to roll our sleeves up and get it done. "Course I am (confident of getting into the play-offs). I believe in what I'm doing. "I've done 750 games with a win ratio of around 39 per cent so it doesn't mean I'm a mug. "It means I'm capable and I still feel I'm capable of getting this team in the top six." Slade says City fans "-should never run out of hope and belief" but accepts the loss at Hull was another very frustrating performance by his side. -
The Cardiff boss now wants to bounce back at Wolves this weekend and clearly believes he will still be in the job for that game. Asked about reports he was on the brink of losing his job, Slade said: "I don't know where all that kind of information comes from or what sources that is. "As far as I'm concerned, the dialogue with the chairman and chief executive is very good and we're all wanting the same thing."

And that's Slades fault. He's brought in Doyle, Revell, Ameobi on loan who he plays up top, and also Watt who for all his trickery is not a finisher.
Slade don't even try anything different apart from putting his best wingers bac to RB.
He was given a decent squad to work with, some funds last January to bring some players in and he's not even got us challenging for the play offs against sides like Birmingham who's budget is nowhere near ours.
Stop playing the finance card our wage bill is as big as anyone's around us in the table. The top 4 are the big spenders after that 5th and 6th should have been up for grabs.
Stop blaming Tan for Slades obvious failings.
Wed Jan 13, 2016 11:36 pm
In fairness to him, he hasn't really turned on the fans.
That's one thing I'll give him, he's actually a decent guy.

Do you think it's time for a change?

The MAIN concern for me is Slade actually believes in his perplexed world that we are capable of play offs - he's so deluded because under him the team have no passion nor flair, i honestly believe his man management skills that he has said are impecable have been his downfall.
Nice guy but way out of his depth, we will stay up under Slade but won't achieve anything else.

Where is this poll because I did see a similar poll but the percentages were WAY off what he is quoting!
