its what the boo boys wanted ! Youth, energy & drive.

Yaya Toure & Aaron Ramsey would get over run in this system., but lets blame Whitts

Someone tweeted Rob Phillips and said we need a 6 foot 1 midfielder. Perhaps he thinks we should sign Yaya

The stattos have gone quiet with the "without Whitts" numbers lately. What's that 1 win in last 5 league games? 3 losses, 1 win, 1 draw. Hmmmmm.

Almost as quiet as the Rudy Gestede threads. :laughing6:

Watched it at the ground tonight.

Ralls was probably our best player, apart from Marshall.
We were shocking.
Gunnar did his usual win ball, lose ball thing.

The back 4 were shocking, Manga looked like he was in a dream, Connolly and Peltier tried hard, but both made errors, Malone better maybe, but poor final ball.

No one had a good start, but faded badly again, Pilkington had a mixed game. Watt tried, but was living off scraps.
Mason did some good touches early on, but faded quickly.

Just no spark, all to slow, awful passing, so many under hit.

Nice hog roast at the beam back though.

You can't complain about the passing you're the one who wants the ball kicked forwards at every opportunity. How dare Whitts slow things down, pass it wide and keep possession.

It's OK, he was even worse on Sunday against much poorer opposition.
Funny, but before the game we watched some old City matches, Whitts was superb, long raking passes, playing at a tempo, unfortunately that has happened less and less last couple of seasons.

Maybe you haven't been watching much in the last few years.
It's not about launching it forward- and you know that- so no need for the crap comments- it's about playing at a tempo, something he used to do, and that Ralls has done too, and Kavanagh before that.

Llan bluebird as you prob know ive been a big whitts critic. I stand by what i say that he isnt a 442 midfielder but the formation is the problem not whitts. Whitts could still do a job maybe further forward in a 433 or a free role as a 10 in a 4231. Slades tactics have ruined a lot of players imo, noone is another prime example

Rubbish!!! Ralls is not in the same league as Whitts. He couldn't set his alarm nevermind the tempo.

Like Leggy said tonight Cardiff didn't get one ball into the forwards feet. Not one ball. All kick and rush which is what you and everyonelse who complains about sideways passing have been crying out for.

I'm a big fan but he's not a number 10 in a million years.

Needs to be in s midfield 3 with legs around him and movement upfront but he's not going to get that with donkeys like revell upfront.

Digi & Whitts vs Ralls & Gunnar let the statto's work out THIS season who has had more points per game.

He played on the left for 65 minutes on Sunday, on a farm yard of a pitch, against a team camped on the edge of their box, surrounded by donkeys like Revell for a manager who hasn't got a clue how he wants to play who has shot Whitts confidence to bits but hey he should be setting the tempo like he did a few years ago with clever players like Bothroyd, Chopra, Kenny Miller, Bellamy.etc. on a carpet of a pitch for managers who built the team around him. Lolz.

I saw the game for myself. I don't need Leggy to tell me who's who, half the time he gets mixed up anyway as he doesn't see as much of City or research it as much as most of us.

You suffer from cognitive dissonance where Whitts is concerned.

Funny, he's like marmite- to some he can do no wrong,to others he's shite.
Both sets of fans are wrong.

Ralls is the all round player Whitts has never been and will never be whilst he's got a hole in his Arse. Along with getting in the box, passing well and linking well, he reads the game and knows in advance what he's going to do... But he also tracks back and wins lots of tackles and headers.
Whitts on his day was a better passer, but recently not.

I'll take Leggys opinion over some dinosaur who's watched so much lower league football he's still thinks it's 1995 and who is another so deluded he's got confused with Aaron Ramsey and Joe Ralls.

He knows so far in advance what he's going to do he gives it away 30% of the time

Joe Ralls isn't even in the top 10 midfielders in this division let alone someone with the potential to be in the PFA team of the year 3 times.

Better passer, more goals but hey he's got a hole in his arse and Ralls doesn't because he's so brilliant he doesn't need to shit
