Jon, the English see that as the "British Anthem" but when you actually read the whole thing it talks about quelling the troublesome Scots! LOL![]()

Isn't Jerusalem equally a 'holy' place to Christians, Muslims and Jews?
At least it isn't a miserable dirge full of God, monarchs and kicking the Scots - like GSTQ. Apart from 'Jerusalem' other options (some used already by English sports teams) are: 'Land of Hope and Glory'; 'I Vow To Thee, My Country' and 'There'll Always Be an England'
Anyway, I like the alternative poll put up by the BBC for the new English anthem:
Dad's Army theme tune
14%
Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
11%
Vindaloo by Fat Les
18%
The Archers theme tune
4%
Grandstand theme tune
7%
Only Fools and Horses theme tune
16%
Other
30%
I always liked 'Other'. Great tune.... Or maybe the Benny Hill theme and everyone just hums?

I love the Scots anthem. Think I sang the anthem when we played em in a friendly about 5 years ago.
Love the Italians too to be fair.
