JACKETT HAILS NEW SIGNING

13/01/16

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett hailed the impact of new signing Michal Zyro after the Poland forward scored twice on his first appearance at Molineux to help his side claim a 3-2 win over Fulham.

Zyro, a £350,000 capture from Legia Warsaw over the winter, opened his account in the sixth minute and doubled Wolves' advantage after 13 minutes.

"He is a good finisher and he can get headers as well. I do feel he has the attributes and power to do well in our football. It is early days but it is a nice start."

We were supposed to be after him a while back. I thought he looked very promising then.

Yes not a bad player, Jacket seems happy.

We were quoted close to 2 million Euros when we were after him according to reports at the time. They've done well to get him for that price and he will become a big player for them.

I totally agree with you. He has been highly rated for quite a few years now. I was pretty shocked to see that he had joined Wolves but fair play to them for pulling the deal off. I think that he will prove to be a massive bargain for them!

He's the sort of bargain overseas player that we need to be scouting and buying if we are to make progress as a club. We need smart people in charge who can appoint the right people and create the right infrastructure within the club. We seem a million miles away from having that at the moment. :sad7:

I wasn't suggesting Slade. I said we need smart people in charge who can appoint the right people and create the right infrastructure within the club. In other words an intelligent owner who appoints a knowledgeable CEO who builds a good team around him who then appoints a good, progressive, modern manager who then appoints good coaches and backroom staff and sets up an excellent scouting system for youngsters for the academy and other players for the first team who don't cost a lot but who have pace, power, skill, bottle etc. Not much to ask, I know, but if we had the right man at the top the rest would surely follow.
