' 60-80 Cardiff Fans '

Tue Jan 12, 2016 1:21 pm

Cardiff City have sold about 60 tickets for tomorrows away game at Hull City.

A bit like the old days all over again, but in them days we were in Division 4 and about 120 would go.

You can pay on the gate :ayatollah:

Very poor following, but I'm not surprised given what we said the other day Annis.

A long journey I know, but we should be taking much more than that.

Im off to wolves Sat only 2 hrs away which has not helped the hull numbers plus this 2 away games on the trot asks a lot of fans finances in one week, add maybe losing a shift and it was always going to be bad. :ayatollah:

Ned, Yes its true what we discussed.
Funny in the lower divisions we would of taken much more :ayatollah:

Most teams coming down to us from the North in the night bring 250 min fans to us and our fans take the mick out of them

Don't forget the club are also doing a "beam back" for this game. I'm not sure how many have paid for that but it's bound to have had an effect on the travelling away support.

Have a safe journey up and back and hope for a performance from the players.

They flew up today so should be no excuse of being tired :ayatollah:

It is and they beamed back to their fans, but they still brought 347 fans in the night.

We would of taken 250-300 if it was not for the Tan circus who lost a lot of our diehards.

the difference then though fella was we were shite but were happy if they give 100%, we understood they didn't have the ability - this lot are playing shite, some have the ability but do not give 100%.
If you make the effort to travel the least they can do is make a fkg effort

The club need to scrap the idea that you need to be a member to buy away tickets, the amount of people I see asking if anyone has a fan number they can borrow is stupid, the club should just sell the tickets and get the support like the fella who was asking the other day for the two young lads, why on earth would the club not just sell him the tickets knowing how few are going, its pathetic, re-introduce the membership again as and when its required, I know a few lads who are looking to go to Charlton, they will all struggle to get a ticket as not season ticket holders or members and will no doubt refuse to pay extra for a membership on top of the cost of the trip. If its going to cause an issue for people who have already bought a membership, just refund them, we have to be talking peanuts in Football World money.

In fact why don't the club or even the players as a collective just go all out and say as a gesture anyone looking to go to Hull, Tickets are free, paid for by the club/players, say 250 took them up on it, cost them just over £6,250, 500 took it up £12,500
not even a weeks wages for some of the squad. Do that once a season give something back to the fans would go down very nicely and be very appreciated.

With all the money that's in Football its unreal how we as fans are treated.

Anyway safe trip to all that have traveled, I hope you get rewarded with at least a decent effort from the team

Have to agree, I think it's time to review the membership scheme as its no longer needed.
Most clubs have pay on the gate and it's easy to get around anyway.

As for rewarding fans who have gone today, then that is fair enough as well.

Same for the Boro and Leeds trips.

Club could maybe have paid for 2-3 coaches to each which would have cost maybe £2k for each match.

When you see that the stiffs who played on Sunday are collectively earning at least £10m a year then it doesn't seem such a big deal.

If I was a player Id be asking the rest of the lads to chip in toward it myself.

£100-£150 each from tonight's squad out of their average wage of what £15k per week - it's nothing, but could make a big difference to the way the fans see them.
