Feel for Slade.
Boring history of Slade for those willing to read:
Former LMA League 1 Manager of the Year award winner, clearly a good solid man-manager that isn't, as others have stated, "out of his depth"
He deserved the opportunity to step up, having worked his way through the system. He saved Scarborough, with whom he joined when they were bottom of the Conference, helping them to 12th by the end of the season. They were 4th when they went into administration, at which point he resigned. The fans were gutted.
He took Grimsby to a play-off final, losing 1-0 to Cheltenahm at the Millenium.
He took Yeovil to a surprise League One play off finish, again losing in the final to Blackpool.
At Leyton Orient he took over a side in the relegation zone with 6 games to go, got 10 out of 18 points and kept them up by a point.
Reason for writing article:
He's got a good track record working his way through the football league, so let's not knock why he was appointed. He didn't spend a penny during his time at Orient, it's what we needed given recent years of reckless spending.
Some fans are foolish to be calling for his head. The football has been at times dire but what do you expect? At the start of the season how many of us really thought that we could do better than 10th place? Few I imagine.
This club has sacked so many managers recklessly, there is no stability in football I really feel for the guy and hope he gets the results to keep him here.
Hasn't been given any financial backing either might I add.
I'm sure we all know it, but we really need Tony Watt to sign. I fear for everything we love about this club if we can't even get this lad to sign a contract at a capital city.

On a side note, stop slagging Peter Whitts and that wand of a left peg! Love the guy. Those goals at Boro & Leicester away were just magical. I don't care how many of you think he's finished or sideways passing, he's the most technically gifted footballer in the whole squad.

haha what do you mean?
The guy was brought it for stability. Your a fool if you really believed with the money of clubs around us and Tan not wanting to dip into his pocket that we were realistically going to challenge the title this season.
We are exactly where I thought we would be.

He has brought stability and that's it time to move on.
