Mike, I've just spoken to Bolton fans, their Owner Eddie Davies says he putting a block on all sales and wants to sell club for a £1.

Bolton Owner Eddie Davies Blocks Sale
Bolton midfield player Josh Vela
Josh vela move has been blocked by ED. As Bolton trying to raise capital
This is all I know for now
It could only happen to us when we think we've git a bargain Bolton get stopped from selling him to us.
It's to do with Boltons problems.

Bolton expect to complete the sale of the club to new owners this week , who will then settle the £2m which is due to HMRC before Monday`s deadline. However , they need to have a "Plan B" so are lining up potential deals for the sale of a few players to pay off the debt if the deal is not completed in time so they don`t risk a winding up by the court. The new owners can then decide if they want to still sell off some players to raise cash to help fund ongoing trading , or put some more cash to fund it.
Any new owner just needs to find £14m (less the £2m to pay off HMRC) to pay off all existing debts , and most of those debts are payable over a longer period of time (bank and director loans etc) rather than immediately , plus a nominal £1 to clear the huge debt due to Eddie Davies who has agreed to write it off. So the new owners would get the club for £14m plus whatever it costs to cover current season losses (maybe £20m before player sales). Doesn`t seem a bad price to pay for a club of Bolton`s size which would then be debt free.
