Exclusive: Charlton Athletic striker Tony Watt to complete Cardiff City move this week
Tuesday, 12 January 2016 By SouthLondon-today.co.uk
Tony Watt is set to seal a permanent exit from Charlton this week by joining Cardiff City.
The 22-year-old Scot moved to the Bluebirds at the end of November and has been a big success. While reports have put a permanent deal at £1million, Valley sources claim that the package is double that.
Watt is not due to complete his transfer until after Cardiff’s match at Hull City on Wednesday night.
It remains to be seen if the money raised is ploughed back into Charlton’s transfer plans.
We exclusively revealed the Addicks’ interest in bringing back fans’ favourite Yann Kermorgant - but there appears to be interest from clubs in top-six contention who may be prepared to pay a fee for the Frenchman.
Bournemouth pulled the plug on a loan return in November due to striker shortages.

Great news that he's staying but very concerning if that's true, and we're paying £2m.
Not sure he's worth that much.

Probably £2m with added clauses including promotion to PL.

Trying to keep their disgruntled fans onside, £2 million sounds better, but we'd probably be happy to pay for he extra because it would probably mean we have been promoted

Watt deal worth over £2million?
An interesting report from South London Press this morning, stating that the Tony Watt deal will be sealed after Wednesday’s key clash with Hull City.
They also claim Valley sources have said the deal could be worth over double the £1million fee that has been reported.

Worth 2 million all day long considering the prices these days for an average striker

Quite often the wages and maybe agents fees and length of 3 year contract are included

Package is 2 million. 10k a week over 4 years plus million fee is 2 million package.

Really? I think the 'transfer panel' in all their football wisdom would just take the initiative anyway
