" CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

Mon Jan 11, 2016 10:40 pm

QUESTION FOR ALL CARDIFF CITY FANS :ayatollah:

If Russell Slade was sacked tomorrow, would you take Craig Bellamy as manager until the end of the season at least?

This isn't "will Craig Bellamy take over?" so whether you think he'd work for Tan or not, would you be happy with it?

For the record, I can't see Slade going right now but think it will be very likely if we lose at Hull and Wolves.

A massive YES from me.

I know he's a Liverpool fan but he does care about Cardiff City.

He would bring back the passion.

Craig Bellamy is a Craig Bellamy fan and I am happy with that. Totally committed to whatever project he puts his name to, so a good Cardiff creer will be good for him. He'll make mistake, but we are so forgiving ;)

Yes definitely. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Yes, naturally. He'd get them pumped up and has contacts.

It's the best move, despite the lack of experience. He would get the city excited about its football team again

I don't think I have seen him mentioned on here as a potential Cardiff manager, but he could be a great fit for us he has lots of experience coaching at Barcelona, zenit St Petersburg,Chelsea and Man City. He has also coached at international level with the Netherlands, Russia, south Korea (2002) and of course Wales under Gary Speed. He has had massive success as a coach and he even transformed a youth system in Feyenoord. I think he could be the sort of different and freshness to get us going again and despite his vast experience at coaching he is still only 44 which is young for a manager. I also think he is a realistic target who would want to manage Cardiff. If Bellamy still wants to wait a bit longer to manage us I don't see no harm in making Raymond Verheijan our next manager.

What a great shout ! Just how good a suggestion is this !
I wondered where this guy had got to after he was no longer wanted by Wales's Chris Coleman set up which greatly surprised me as he was largely responsible for changing the way Wales played under Gary Speed

If I was Vincent Tan I would swallow my pride and get rid of Slade, Trollop and Young Immediately, then offer the job to Verheijan along with Craig Bellamy as his assistant, which would also be a sensible way of getting Craig on board without putting too much pressure on him.
These two would bring instant hope and excitement to our long suffering fans, as their professionalism would quickly spread throughout the club, instantly raising all levels at the club.

No for me as much as I think he's a good shout he has never managed at any level .so I think at the moment I think the club needs a safe bet to stabilize us.
Bells would be a gamble and I don't think he fits with us at the moment maybe try Liverpool for his first job

We need someone with experience at this level and proven success. Someone like Nigel Pearson. Bellamy is a massive risk! His man-management skills could be dubious if there are golf clubs around.

110% absolutely definitely.

Re: " CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

I agree it would be a risk but at least the team would play with some passion not like the other night.

Re: " CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

No! No experience, it would go from bad to worse if we put Bellamy in as manager

Re: " CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

As much as I'd love Bellers to manage us, we probably need an experienced manager perhaps the likes of Tim Sherwood could do the job as he's managed in the top flight with 2 different clubs. :old:

What about Colin wanker taken teams up at this level on numerous occasions. :laughing6:

Re: " CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

Its a risk but at least bellamy will guarantee plenty of passion playing for the shirt.

Re: " CRAIG BELLAMY - POLL "

Tue Jan 12, 2016 1:20 pm

The danger is craig bellamy is a hot head and he may fall out with vincent tan  Dont think bellamy would send him racist text ;) but bellamy would have his say maybe would tan needs to be told straight.

I've seen Verheijan's name around since that post was created. I think that it's certainly a gamble that is worth having a punt at. I can't imagine his wages being too high and we could perhaps even ask Bellamy to come in as his assistant or even as our attacking coach to gain some experience... Something needs to be done!

Even with no managerial experience, he will be better than Slade. :thumbright:

Absolutely not you stupid people! The last successful player to go straight into management in a successful way was Kenny Dalglish 30 years ago, and he took over the European champions!

Get real people - we need an experienced manager who has got teams to the Premier League before. :bluebird:

I'm not calling for Slade's head but I would take Bellamy now until the end of the season.

Brilliant. Throwing abuse at fellow City fans who have an opinion on what is best for their club

I agree. I also don't think bellers could work with tan OR be able to handle our abusive fans.

Yes. It would be a gamble but a gamble worth taking for me. I don't care about success, I just want some passion injected back into us.
