Maybe it's time to listen to the fans again. I've supported slade and backed him from the beginning and even had disagreements with friends over him but a few weeks ago I said enough is now enough. I've wanted Slade to do well and yeah ok we are doing alright. We aren't in the bottom half of the league table but it's the inconsistencies that concern me and most of the signings made by Slade. A FA cup run is exactly what the fans and the club needed to give us a bit of a lift but they couldn't even manage to get through to the next round with a half decent squad out there - I know this happens - it happened to the jacks yesterday but they're in the premier league and have a relegation battle on thier hands so it a different scenario. Like I say, I wanted Slade to do well but it has run its course with me now and personally I think it's time for him to go - the football is boring and even when we play exciting football we don't seem to win the games.
we were right over the blue return - the sales of merchandise rocketed and I believe that the magic combination of maximising on the number of fans coming through the door is BLUE + SUCCESS = maximum season ticket sales and would prob sell out the stadium, crazy amounts of merchandise sales. Blue in division 2 for perhaps a minority of fans would be enough but for most I would think that most would want both. And why not, it's about time we deserved to experience success with our identity in tact. For many people, our premier league experience was difficult due to our performance overall and the red. So in actual fact for many it would probably be like Cardiff city haven't actually gone up yet - it was just that club that tan invented. nothing against Slade it's just time to listen to the fans and get a tried and tested manager with promotion experience perhaps!
