' Cardiff City Fans finally saw Russel Slade play '
Yesterday Cardiff City Fans finally saw Russell Slade play more than a few of his personal signings in one match v Shrewsbury Town of the lower Leagues..
Scott Malone
Sammy Ameobi,
Stuart O'keefe
Alex Revell
Gabriel Tamas
Matthew Kennedy.
So what do you think?
Did any stand out?
Who would you keep?
Would you give Slade money to bring in more signings?

I wouldn't give Slade enough money to buy a penny chew (if they exist any more?)
Tamas and O'Keefe were especially poor last night.

I'd keep Malone and Kennedy and tamas as back up thought he done good except for one mistake he made.

His decision not to play John, Kennedy and Oshalaja was diabolical.
His decision to play 2 strikers and a central defender reportedly being told they can leave was an insult to the fans.
Their performances would have put off any suitors.
Anybody who still thinks Whittingham is worth a first team place is blinkered.
Slade as to go. He

yesterday for himself.

We all know slade is way out of his depth, but the players must take some of the blame. We have more poor players at this club than most fans realise.Only kennedy is worth persisting with, the rest are collectively poor.Don't give slade anymore money to waste on players,he hasn't got a clue. Also we need a mass clearout and we need to get rid of this lot a.s.a.p.
Malone-weak.
Whitts-Thanks for everything, but a shadow of the player he once was.Even his corners and set pieces have become poor.
Dikgacoi-injury prone.
O'keefe-very weak, lightweight and offers very little.
Tamas-blew his stack and threatened to walk out unless picked!! Don't want players like that at any club.
Revell-Runs around but that's it! Not a footballer, should have been a waiter or something!
Macheda-Had his chances, and many of them too.He makes kenwynne jones look energetic.
All these players have had it and should be shipped out.Last night was the final straw in many fans eyes, fed up of being let down by all the usual suspects!

Kennedy would be the only one I would keep

Would not give Slade a Penney, the team desperately needs an ejection of quality but other than the blinkered on here we all know Slade does not have ability to bring in the quality we need

He did buy TWatt so his signings ain't been to bad to be honest. But that is where my praise for the man end

Tragic
Did any stand out?
Ameobi but still not good enough on the night
Who would you keep?
Only Kennedy and play him wide but not at full back
Would you give Slade money to bring in more signings?
No apart from Watt

Kennedy and Malone. Can't understand why he has Noone on the right and Kennedy came on the left. Every time they go to cross the ball they have to come back onto their stronger foot. If they were played the other way round they can get to the bye line and cross for forwards to attack also it is more difficult for a defender to deal with a cross coming back from the bye line. But what do I know I'm not an ex PE teacher!

Two points to make, its my understanding that Watt hasn't signed yet, and point 2 what other Slade signings are you happy with?

"But that is where my praise for the man ends" kind of confirms that Watt is the only deal that has impressed Nukes

1. He has not signed Watt yet. Watch some other club come sniffing around as January develops.
2. He also signed Kennedy but does not play him
3. He also signed Saadi who is a sick note
4. Only Peltier and Malone are average championship players.
5. He also signed O'Keefe, Doyle, Tamas, Ameobi, Revell and probably some others who are poor.
To be honest, what footballer would want to come here if there were other options to him?
Its a sad sad time being a City fan.

Peltier for sure and Malone has been OK. But that don't impress me much

At the end of the day nobody really stood out everyone was as equally poor as the next
The best run of the game was gunnarson from the bench to the canton during a warm up..... For me that sums it all up

I'd keep Kennedy and Malone. Maybe Ameobi for a small fee.
Mon Jan 11, 2016 4:31 pm
It doesn't matter who he signed, it's what he does with the squad of players available to him! In theses days where most managers spend less than 2 years in a job before being removed, virtually every manager is coping with a squad where most of the players were signed by their predecessor (s). Slade is no different in this. To question why his signings aren't playing is irrelevant and a desperate attempt to undermine him by the spoilt kids on here who, can't get their own way.
Like it or not, Slade has done nothing yet to deserve losing his job. He is going to be our manager for a long time so you all might as well get used to him and support him.
Mon Jan 11, 2016 4:33 pm
Oh, and in answer to the original question, I don't think o'Keefe or Revell are good enough.
Mon Jan 11, 2016 5:17 pm
Watt Peltier Malone and Kennedy have been Slade's best signings.
Mon Jan 11, 2016 5:58 pm
Kennedy should be given a chance, Malone is decent, the rest, no chance
Mon Jan 11, 2016 6:59 pm
Can someone tell me why we signed Tamas?

Ameobi is rubbish. Plenty of skill but he's not a striker and he's not a winger so what is he?

So we could start him once instead of our youth players who are gagging for a chance
