How was Slade appointed?

Clearly Tan knows nothing about football. So please, tell me how this could possibly have come about?

Obviously been advised by someone. Likely roeder by the looks of things, though not sure where hes gone recently

Tan also had a dig at MM with this appointment,and made references to Slade in the same way as Arsenal's AW
