Absolutely shocking. Battery is dying so will keep this short before I can charge it on train.

48 hours to vote.

I thought O'Keefe had a good game. Can't believe a couple have said Macheda. He missed a couple of sitters and had the opportunity to punish Shrewsbury when getting in some great positions, and it cost us!

Thought manga was pedestrian in defence .his tackle in the last 5 mins with a player in his own half going nowhere to give a free kick summed it up for me

Whitts was the only one who wanted the ball all evening and rarely gave it away.

Malone did well on the overlap too.

No one deserves the title of man of the match... Not a city player anyway :ayatollah:

I thought he was quite bright. If we are gonna play 2 up top I'd like to see how he pairs up with Watt.

Malone has really won me over. I thought he was league 1, but often is one of our better players.

Fab's owned his winger as well

Whitts was absolutely awful.

Let players go past him like he wasn't there, no tracking , slow and his shooting was awful.

At the game you can watch what is going on off the ball, and in his case it's Feck all.

Malone worked hard, but his final ball was rubbish and decision making dire.

Manga did OK, Tamas had a good first half, but lost his man for the goal, Manga did OK, Fabio tried hard, but again final ball pretty poor and caught out for the goal.

Macheda , some good stuff but lacking in aggression and final touch, O'Keefe, poor, hardly knew he was there, Ameobi, show pony, no end product...

Pretty awful all round

Whitts was not awful at all he was the only one who had any time on the ball and trying to pass it in midfield and they barely attacked so didn't need to track back.

The TV view is very high up the stand we had a better panoramic view then most of the people in the stadium

Steve Tucker's ratings
SIMON MOORE: Was not pushed into too many heroics to be honest. Looked OK-ish, but a bit dodgy with his kicking at times. Davis Marshall has nothing to worry about really put it that way. 5

FABIO: He at least brought a bit of urgency and danger with him which was lacking for too long at times. Seemed an unpopular move when he was taken off. 5

GABRIEL TAMAS: It is pretty unusual to be making your debut for your new club in January after arriving in the summer, but that was the case for the centre-half. Will be wondering about his part in the visitor’s goal too. 4

BRUNO MANGA: The centre-back needs game time one supposes so he was one of just two survivors from the last league game. Looked composed and untroubled for much of it. 5

SCOTT MALONE: The other survivor from the Blackburn match and you really wanted more from a player of his seniority. Failed to push on enough even against League One Shrewsbury. 4

SAMMY AMEOBI: (man of the match) If his overall time at Cardiff has been a disappointment he at least looked bright and lively here. Lovely quick feet at times, there were mistakes, but was unlucky to see a shot hit the post. 6

KAGISHO DIKGACOI: He started the season as first choice, but has now drifted out of the side. Was not surprising he looked a bit leggy in a largely forgettable display. 4

STUART O’KEEFE: Another player who barely troubles the first team, but O’Keefe at least game it a go here. Was willing to see the ball as often as he could and push forward too. 5

PETER WHITTINGHAM: For a player of his stature he failed really to get enough of a grip on the match. His delivery from the dead-ball was not up to his standards and he had left his shooting boots at home. 4

ALEX REVELL: The much-maligned striker was back and once more he was prepared to put a shift in even if the quality once more in front of goal was questionable. 4

FEDERICO MACHEDA: Back from injury which was great, but the striker may have covered plenty of ground, but he got minimal reward for it. A few neat touches, but hardly impressed overall. Way too quiet. 4

Whitts was a class above some today, just a shame no-one could reach his standard.

I agree with that actually. Think he'd offer more than Mason.

Lawnmower hates Whitts. He's watched a lot of lower league football and doesn't appreciate technical players.

That pitch was like a farm but his touch and passing were still class.

I love Whitts and today for me showed he still has that bit of class about him.. passing and touches.. he was spreading the play and getting us up the field.. just a shame is shooting is slowly disappearing.

His shooting was poor tonight. He's out of practice as he's not usually that far up the pitch these days.

TV follows the ball.

You won't see lazy arses on there, who are 30 yards behind play.

Whitts took too much time on the ball and slowed things down when we needed to up the tempo.
Ralls takes him to pieces now.

Also his corners were dire.

That's a pile of shit Polo.
Where I sit there are a couple constantly on his case, and I'm constantly sticking up for him, although sometimes they have a point.
However tonight he was shite. Shunting the ball sideways slowly doesn't make up for a lack of effort .
As unlike you I don't have tunnel vision over him.

You've got to earn the right to play and he didn't.

You're talking rubbish as usual. First half when he was on the left he covered for Malone to get forward. 2nd half when he went into centre after they scored they were all camped on the edge of their box and if they clear it up the pitch then of course everyone is miles behind the ball but we've got defenders up there to deal with the lone striker.

They barely ventured out of their own half you don't need to be in the stadium to see that.

Fabio for me but a very close 2nd was Manga followed by Macheda :ayatollah:

Rubbish.

You've rarely had a good word to say about him in all the years I've read you on the forums.

We clearly have a different outlook on the game.

For starters you think Slade is a good manager

And on that remark I'm off to bed I'm not debating Slade you I've got an early start tomorrow
