Alex Revell

Good to see him using this opportunity to reinforce why the sooner we ship him out the better. Even if Mr Slade considers he was the "right type" for the dressing room. Certainly not the right type for the pitch.

f*cking terrible. No need to say anymore.

Get rid of him please!

Re: Alex Revell

Thought he's done ok.
Won a fair few headers and ran 40 yards to win the ball with a slide tackle.

We all know he's not Maradona, but I won't slag off a player who gives his all.

Trouble is most of us could give our all. I'd expect my striker to hit the target and indeed even strike the ball cleanly when five yards out and the keeper on the ground.

'Most of us could give our all'

I don't think so, judging by the number there today most could not even be arsed to attend.

I'd take him over Jones, Ameobi, Macheda and half the other so called stars who couldn't be arsed.

His battling to win 3 balls he had no right to was about the only thing we had to cheer today.

He should probably leave as our fans think they are to good to watch players like him, he's never going to score a load of goals.'c but deserves better than to be slagged off from people's sofas.

Well said, couldn't agree more. Revell can still be utilised to throw on for the last 10-15 minutes when we are holding on to a lead to take the pressure off. He's only striker I would consider keeping apart from Watt, Saadi and perhaps Mason if he's still on a low wage.

I would keep him ahead of Macheda. There will be some games away from home where we are under the cosh and need a work horse up front to run himself into the ground to take the pressure off.

Lets face it, if Revell missed the two chances Macheda missed tonight, he would be crucified. Macheda is ex Man Utd though, so nobody will say anything!

Revell missed a good chance in the first half but did more than alright apart from that. How you can think his performance was total shit tonight, I don't know.

How anyone can support playing Revell I just don't know. The guy poses absolutely no threat whatsoever, and offers very little else.

That's not really fair 'he just runs about' , however I do agree that he doesn't get himself into enough good positions and often is standing still in the box when the ball comes in rather than attacking it. I can see why he doesn't score much. However the service was appalling tonight and he's probably one of only a small no who don't deserve criticism from tonight, whether you think he should leave or not

I said it when he arrived. Look at his goal ratio. 1 in 5 and in the lower leagues. And this includes the only time he came close to the proper scorer's ratio of 1:2 in the Isthmian League. And he's no promising youngster. What you see is what you get. Sadly.

And I paid to watch tonight.

It don't matter about the service he wouldn't be in a good enough position to use it.

Re: Alex Revell

Sun Jan 10, 2016 9:32 pm

I ain't gonna give Revell too much grief.. his price tag sums him up so I don't know what people are expecting.

I could see him and Macheda not putting in 100% tonight and I can't blame them, publicly being both made their are on the list to be shipped out then both picked for a cup game.. my heart or commitment wouldn't be in the game for a club and manager who wants me out.
